Hey guys,

Ive been playing this game on my ipad nonstop and have a few qs. I manage barca and am 20 yrs into my career.

1. How good do you have to be to get a darn intl. Job? In 20 yrs ive won 10 ligas, 2 champs leagues, 10 copas, and a europa league to boot, not to mention a whole bunch of spanish community shields. Still, whenever a tempting intl job opens up i never get the job. Am i doing something wrong or am i just not impressive enough? Ami supposed to resign first before applying? What am i doing wrong....

2. Do you have to fill out pretty much your entire squad with spaniards (for barca) to get more domestic player biqs points? I went thru a period only signing spaniards, has maybe 25 of my 35 as spaniards, and it was still red at 8 or so. Do you need something like 33 out of 35 to get those points?

3. The board consistently gives me 64m in the summer, regardless of how much transfer funds i didnt use last summer. Whats the point of not spending every penny each summ if it doesnt roll over?

Thanks a mil, ill try to contribute what small knowledge i have in the future. This game is addicting for sure.

hi,
1. What nations are you applying for? Maybe try the nation of your nationality or a small country to prove you can be an international manager.
2.don't know, never cared about my domestic player bias :P
3.if you don't spend it all maybe they feel you don't need more or the rest goes into other areas of the club.
hope this helps

To answer Q.3, I've changed to Australian Dollars. Being the lowest currency in the game, it gives me more money in the budget.

1. That won't make any difference. The numbers will simply be converted.
2. The Aussie dollar is hardly the 'lowest currency' in the game. It has been worth more than the American dollar for quite a while now.

On topic:

1. I haven't really done that much international management so I don't really know what the problem is.
2. IMO don't worry about it too much. Personally I try to buy players from the country I'm managing in, but if there is a clearly better foreign option, I will go for that.
3. You don't 'have' to spend your budget. The way I see it, it is there if you need it. The board are not giving you unspent money from previous seasons because they want to ensure financial stability.

Well I don't think they update the currencies in the game. Starting as Barca, for example, I get 69M USD, while I get 82M AUD.

Regardless, it does not matter. You don't get any more money, as everything is converted.

I change the exchange rates before most releases - the problem is that in recent years currency exchange rates have been incredibly unpredictable meaning that they aren't always the same during the year afterwards.

To give an example of how volitile they are when I moved to America 4/5 years ago the exchange rate was around 2.1 USD / 1 GBP, last year it'd dropped to around 1.45 USD / 1 GBP and now its back up to 1.65 USD / 1 GBP.

But the other chaps are correct in that in 'game terms' it doesn't affect things at all - behind the scenes everything in the game actually works in 'British Pounds', why you ask - because its what I 'think in' and so its easier for me to tune the game engine that way.

Then it converts things to whatever currency you use for display purposes ... simple as that.

You've raised a good point though and I'll consider updating the currencies more frequently in future iPhone releases where exchange rates might have drifted substantially enough to warrant it.
