How much effect difference does it make to your results / performance to have a better coach?

If you mean your own attributes, very little. You'll just struggle more to motivate players, especially the higher rep players. If you mean your staff, no difference at all.

Does Training ever really alter anything?

Obviously it does. If you're talking about training affecting matches, there's match prep training that can give slight boosts to an area.

Do Team Talks make ANY difference during game?

Again, obviously it does? You can see a team talk do something just by looking. Go out and tell your players who are looking confident/very confident that you're over the moon with their performance when they're leading 2-0 at half time. Watch them turn to complacent immediately. That's one example.
