currently 4th season with mufc, trying to buy a replacement for Patrive Evra. I'm thinking of buying either Tottenham's Gareth Bale or Lyon's Aly Chissoko (idk the spelling). my transfer budget is 75m. do you guys know which player is better? it's hard for me to decide. If you guys know any other great left back, please share with me.

I am Tottenham, If you were for buying Bale I'd play him further up the pitch than Left Back. Left Midfield or Attacking Left Midfield. For Left Back I signed Christian Fuchs from Schalke. Only played a handful of games but has started well.

jose angel is consistent for me at roma, might be affordable

What type of LB do you want? (attacking of defending one). Bale is good at attacking and you can check out Jack Robinson for a defending LB because he has a good PA and may have improved a lot in the 4th season

thanks guys, i think i will sign jose angel. i might consider jack robinson too.

I would say Leighton Baines or Romario. Although Romario is a right back (will be THE best right back in the world barring any rediculously good regens) somebody on another thread was saying that he plays really well at left back also and adapts quickly to the role.

another quick question, who should i buy for a back up left back?

Denner 18 yo Brazilian LB is fantastic. For my Newcastle team. Should be cheap and turns into a star.

Try Razvan Rat. You can get him for 3.7mil (mfr clause), although depending how far in you are then he might be a bit old..

Davide Santon is another good player who can play left back (he's really a right-back but can play both). From Inter at the start (might be on loan at Cesena) but after the first season he's more likely to have been released or sold on. Costs about 5mil unless he's broken into a first team squad. Most expensive I've seen him is about 10mil.

Domenico Criscito is also definately worth a look into. Can also play CB/SW. From Genoa or Zenit (depends on patches).

One of the best Left Backs though is Fabio Coentrau, but he is almost certain to be very, very expensive.

Also there are some other which are good for bolstering you'r squad (injury replacements etc) who you can get on the cheap: John Arne Riise, Balzaretti, Maxwell, ****, even Charlie Mulgrew can be good if he's at the right team with good training.

Marcel Schmelzer! I actually don't know if he's any good in the future on FM12.

I might check some of these out...i've got Romario as my RB atm and Parnaby as LB but he's gettin old! Jusy signed Corey Smith from Norwich and may use Romario as LB and Smith as RB.
Also...i've got loads of english players, most are youngsters but it says i have only 7 players trained in same nation but i need to have 8 registered!? I'm playimg as brentford, just starting 3rd season but 1st season in PL. Any advise would help guys! Cheers :)
