A.I. Managers

Can anyone explain why a high percentage of managers in FM 20 use a 4-1-4-1 DM formation? Surely this cant be true to R/L?

With the wide midfielders pushed up as wingers or AML/R, it is simply an iteration of a 4-3-3 that many clubs use IRL.
Most formations are so heavily altered simply by changing the player roles and duties and mentalities that the 4-1-4-1 DM can play like a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1
