A good start to October for Bury, with a 3-2 win at Torquay.

The Johnston's Paint Trophy North Second Round encounter between Port Vale and Bury ended in a 2-2 draw but Bury the victors on penalties.

6 goals in this game, with a well deserved point going to each side. The home side went 3-1 up, but a hat-trick from Ashley Grimes won the point for Northampton.

Matt Ritchie and Ryan Donaldson scoring for Bury and the defence kept a clean sheet, to make the final score Bury 2-0 Lincoln.

Sam Hewson put Bury 2-1 up on the stroke of half time away to Aldershot, and that's how the score stayed. Another 3 points for Bury!

17 year old Jose Baxter put Bury 1-0 up in 22 seconds, which is a league 2 record! Baxter went on to score a hat-trick and Hewson scored Bury's 4th in injury time. Bury 4-2 Rotherham. They make it look easy!

Bury's final game of October was against Burton Albion away from home, could they win it? Of course they could! The final result; Burton 0-3 Bury! What a month it has been for the Shakers.

Monthly Review

I am very pleased with the results this month, it was almost a perfect month in fact! Taking 16 out of 18 available points in the league is a great achievement.

Jose Baxter's loan deal to end in a few days after Bury failed to re-negotiate with Everton. At least he went out on a high, with runner up in all possible competitions and scoring a lovely hat-trick in the 4-2 win over Rotherham.

With both of our loan strikers returning to their own clubs earlier on this week, the F.A cup match against Chelmsford was going to be a test for us, despite them being a league below us, but last years top scorer Andy Bishop managed to step up to the task, scoring a goal in our 3-0 victory

Bury were expected to record their fist loss since mid september, but their amazing unbeaten run continues to the expense of Leeds' cup hopes. Matt Ritchie put Bury 1-0 up in the second minute and it was looking positive for Bury until Grella equalised 85 minutes later! But Bury yet again, managed to go through on penalties!

Two penalties both given away by Neal Bishop helped Bury along the way in this 4-1 win over 3rd place and pre-season expected champions, Nottingham County, but surely now everyone's money should be on the Shakers to win the league? They're looking unstoppable!

Bury won again, Shrewsbury were the unfortunate team to play them this week. The game did only end 2-1, but Bury looked the better team from the first whistle. Both of today's goals came as a result of some brilliant team play!

The home side supporters were shocked when Robert Page of Chseterfield but the away team 1-0 up, but the Bury players knew what to do, and they did exactly what was expected of them. Sam Hewson scored an incredible goal just before the interval, everyone was expecting the game to go into half time as a draw but Ritchie's cross found Lowe's head, and Bury never looked back! Full time, Bury 3-1 Chesterfield.

The F.A may as well of handed Bury a free pass to the third round of the FA cup, no one could see Ebbsfleet getting a win at Gigg Lane, and of course, they didn't. The Bury fans will be pleased with the way that the team dominated the opposition, winning 3-0.

I would really appreciate some comments guys =)

Not looking bad actually. Good luck with this one, I have a soft spot for Bury !

Couple of improvements I would think of making would be to centre align everything and maybe not put a whole essay about every match ? (A)

The first game in December saw Bury travelling away to Morecambe, they won the game, making their win streak stretch to 11! It was very close, with Bury going 3-1 down, but Ryan Lowe's goal in the 70th minute sparked a come back, with captain Stefanovic leveling the 2 sides with a header and Barry-Murphy scoring the winner for Bury in the 85th minute with a long range goal, about 35 yards out!

Relegation is a possibility for Barnet, who travel to title hopefuls Bury, on an 11 game winning streak, and haven't lost since September! Bishop and Ritchie each scored 2 in the 4-0 win. First choice striker Andy Bishop is suffering from Shin Splints and will be out for up to 7 weeks. Bury feel they have adequate cover.
