The thing is though 1/4 of the United 'fans' aren't fans, they are just rich businessmen who don't care about the club, therefore wouldn't ever boycott. All corporate and players families and staff and people who don't support but are just there for the day out wouldn't boycott. And plus, if everyone boycotted, then those that don't ever watch will be able to get a seat at OT thus making the boycott pointless.

the point of a well executed boycott is that you buy tickets and dont show up so that there is a stand full of empty seats, but if you dont buy a ticket then the owners dont get money off you, but they get the money off the next sucker in the que. if you buy a ticket and dont show there is a visual point and also they lose money in merchandising and food+beer.

its not even about the prwn sandwich brigade, most families work very very hard to pay for their hard earned seasons tickets it would be very difficult for them to give them up.

i keep saying this, but its too easy for people to what should be done. its far different at crunch time. and its not really a lesson for united or liverpool fans, the idea of a boycott is nothing new, its beens talked about for a very long time, but talk and action are two very different things
