As you all should know I had a Notts County save before (titled my 5 year plan), but as the new patch came out i wanted to start a Peterborough United save, obviously its going to be harder to stay in the Champioship with Peterborough than get out of League 2 with County. But hey, im up for the challenge.

So on the 7th July 2009 Peterborough United had announced that they will be searching for a new manager. With Darragh Mcanthony claiming he had interviewed people with experience, there was one manager who stood out from the rest, his name is Rhys Lawlor. With Rhys being a lifelong fan of the club, and has had a season ticket for the last 10 years, he should know what do at the club.

During the transfer window, Rhys made surprisingly no additions to the current squad, but after Chairman Darragh accepted a bid for George Boyd, rated highly by Manager Rhys, left the club for £1.7m to Bolton. Rhys then wanted another striker to compete with the 'mac attack', Aaron McLean and Craig Mackail-Smith, and brought in Nile Ranger from Newcastle on a season long loan.

Will upload fixtures and results in a seperate post as im in February at the moment. :D

lol, with boyd gone i cant see you staying up, but good luck :)

you can stay up without boyd, if you get the right loans in. boyd's always **** on my peterborough files anyway, i imagine you're better off with 1.7m

Fixtures and Results:

Llanelli 0-7 Peterborough
Clydebank 0-2 Peterborough

An unbeaten pre-season gave Peterborough hope going into the new season, Manager Rhys Lawlor said this in an interview with PUTV " I'm pleased that we've managed to go into the new season unbeaten, but friendly matches are obviously fixtures to help get players their fitness back. But im happy we've managed to do it unbeaten and we will now go into the season full of confidence and the belief that we can stay up.

Yeah you have to set him the right player instructions to get the best out of him, i never seem to get the best out of him :/ but £1.7m is a good fee.
