Steve McClaren Hospitalized!

View attachment 202539McClaren has been manager of "The Reds" for only for a day.

Steve McClaren was rushed this morning to the Queen's Medical Center after falling down the stairs of his home in Nottingham. Apparently the former England boss was on the way to his first training session since becoming the manager at the City Ground when he fell down the stairs in his home. Although he has not sustained any serious injury, the doctors have advised McClaren to stay away form football for at least six months and to stay at home resting. McClaren has said "he is disappointed this has happened to him" and that "he will do as the doctor told him to do because when it comes to health, doctors know best".

Nigel Doughty has told BBC Sport that "he is close friends with Tiago and that he has faith in his abilities". He also said that "Tiago is only a caretaker manager until McClaren returns, but if he does a good job he could be a full-time manager.
