The tactic is your basic 4-2-3-1 Deep, which is my fav formation in football atm. It offers great pitch coverage, it offers protection for your back four with two dms, and it offers a versatile attacking force with 4 players in front. The idea was to keep men behind ball, and defend narrow if possession was lost, and when in possession, stretch the opponent and score either from cross, counter or playing through defence. Pressing the opponent when they have the ball is done by being compact, so very fluid philosophy was used. We play as a team, and excell at transitions. The favorite outlet for attack are the flanks, who need to do cutting inside, crossing from byline and pressing the opponents fullback. Their cutting inside is to be used by complete wingbacks who will overlap and provide width and crosses wilst being covered by flanks. The striker needs to be a tall poacher or advanced forward, with good heading ability. Therefore, you need great ability wide players for this to work. I'm currently running a season with Stoke, and will post screenshots when demo ends.
