Yeah been quite a few updates haha. Yeah was gutting to lose it but reckon it’s better that we had another season to build the team up first so hopefully works out in the long run

Deportivo v Huesca

Well its always a lot easier to play against 9 men than 11 as we put in a brilliant display to run away with it.

Deportivo v Racing de Santander

Lein is on fire just now as he is making the midfield position his own and showing how effective his runs are.

Real Valladolid v Deportivo

Lopez came back into the team after his injury as he gets a couple of late goals making the most of the extra man to get us the win.

Deportivo v Barcelona B

We were given a bit of a scare here as Barcelona gave us a good run for our money and pushed us all the way.

Real Sporting v Deportivo

Jutgla made a couple of darting runs off the left wing here and was rewarded twice for his shows in class.

League

12 games in and we already have an 8 point lead. Its going to be a good season.

Almeria v Deportivo

A tale of two halves here again as Almeria shut us out in the 2nd half completely and we should of taken more of our chances in the first half.

Deportivo v Ponferradina

A much better performance here as Lopez scored within the opening minute to score the fastest goal in the leagues history.

Deportivo v Malaga

The goal right before half time really caught us off guard and knocked our confidence a bit but we did well to find the equalizer closely after their 2nd to get a draw.

Tenerife v Deportivo

A bit of a drab game after the opening 20 minutes as both teams snatched at their chances and weren't able to get the further breakthrough.

League

Well after a pretty bad month our lead has dropped to 6 points and Barcelona B are hot on our heels

We've got our first game of the Copa del Rey and we have a nice easy draw and a nice easy game before it so we can get the best possible team out or even rest players​

A boring game where not much happened sadly

Girona v Deportivo

Girona have their link to the City group and have some good players in on loan and an early goal from Lein was enough to see us through

Deportivo v Albacete Balompie

Our on loan midfielders are amongst the goals for us here as they get a quick fire double

Ourense C.F. v Deportivo

We should of had a much more comfortable win here as we really struggled against Ourense and they did well to keep themselves in the game until we got our 2nd with 6 minutes to go.

League

Our lead is down to 4 points now as Barcelona B keep up the pace with us.

Transfers

It turns out Nicolas Castillo wasn't too happy being just a squad player and wanted a bit more game time so I decided to cash in on him as he hadn't managed to score in 4 starts so he left to join ES Tunis for £800k which isn't bad for a player who signed on a free 5 months ago

Time to test ourselves against Real Betis who were relegated last season along with the next round of the cup.​

Transfers

We did our transfer business early on this window with agreeing to sell Alex Centelles to Frankfurt for £400,000 as he wasn't happy being backup now so it made sense to let him go for nearly a £200k profit.

Comin into the squad we needed a new striker to come in and challenge Lopez so we splashed £2.2m on Fer Nino from Villarreal who looks like he will be a quality striker for us for seasons to come

Next in we needed a bit more help in the middle of the park and I noticed that Nikolas Nartey's contract was expiring so we decided to sign him for a cut down price of £975k from Stuttgart

Mirandes v Deportivo

Mella was given a rare start here and he took the most of it getting on the scoresheet before Lopez got the vital 2nd goal.

Fer Nino has a **** of a debut here even if we did leave it late to make sure we progress to the next round

Deportivo v Real Betis

Real Betis just aren't what they use to be as we beat them comfortably and Lopez is given a boot up the backside as he gets he brace to get back to scoring ways.

Eibar v Deportivo

Nino is at it again as we get enough to get us through to the 4th round. We're going to have to figure out how to get them both into the team.

Deportivo v Real Sociedad B

We moved Lopez to the left wing here to see how he'd get on and it looks like they will both be able to start going off of this performance

Real Oviedo v Deportivo

Nino is already showing that he is a great buy and is going to net us a nice profit when it comes time to sell him

Deportivo v Real Sociedad

Yet again we go out to a team in LaLiga like previous seasons but we did well to hang on until nearly half time and then not conceding again.

League

Our lead is back up to 6 points and we're now 13 points clear of 4th which means thanks to Barcelona B not being able to be promoted then as long as we finish in the top 3 then we will get automatic promotion

With us being out the cup we're just back to league action as we can now attack the 2nd half of the season​

yeah we got lucky that he had decided he was leaving at the end of his contract so signed him before he was able to talk to other clubs as I didn't want to miss him. I had tried to get him in the summer when he was transfer listed but couldn't afford the wages at the time

Deportivo v Zamora FC

What a first half as we record our biggest ever win with scoring an unbelievable 6 goals before half time all scored by our 5 attacking players. Its a shame we only got the 1 more after half time.

Deportivo v Mallorca

Of course its after our biggest win that we finally lose our first game of the season.

Deportivo v Eibar

We did so well to take the lead after going down to 10 men and it looked set in stone once Eibar went down to 10 men with a minute to go but sadly our concentration dropped in the final minute of injury time and they took full advantage of us.

Las Palmas v Deportivo

Nino is on fire as he gets us back to winning ways with this time the goal at the death going in our favour

League

Its down to 4 points now for top spot but at least we now have a 15 point gap over 4th spot

With the month being a bit longer we can squeeze 5 games in but most importantly March is Youth Intake month​

Huesca v Deportivo

Huesca gave us a real run for our money here but a goal just before half time got us the 3 points.

Deportivo v Cultural Leonesa

Cultural Leonesa have always pushed us and they did it again here as it took a wonder goal from Reinier to get the 3 points.

Deportivo v Real Valladolid

A much better performance here as Nino finds his form again and gets a quick fire double over the course of 4 minutes.

Racing de Santander v Deportivo

We seem to be doing well with grabbing late goals when we need them as Nino does it yet again.

League

We have increased our leas to 7 points now and also confirmed a play off spot at the worse but its looking like we'll finish in the automatic promotion spots.

Youth

We've got an alright youth intake with just one player standing out that he will make it into the first team in the not so distant future

Rodrigo looks like an exciting AMC with some good physical stats and hopefully the rest will come with training and game time

We're onto the tail end of the season now as we only have 11 games left​

Deportivo v Real Sporting

Sporting gave us a scare hear as they really pushed us after their equalizer but Nino can always find a way through

Barcelona B v Deportivo

We made light work of the team sitting behind us and was great to see Jutgla score against his old team as well

Ponferradina v Deportivo

We came so close to a loss here but Rober got onto a ball at the back post and was able to tap in for us

Deportivo v Almeria

A must win match against the team sitting in 3rd spot and it didn't look good after they took the lead but we were the much better team in the 2nd half and made it count

Deportivo v Tenerife

We seem to like making it difficult for ourselves these days as we had to fight back from behind twice to be able to limp off with a point that we were lucky to get here

League

Well we have been guaranteed promotion to the top tier this month which is where the hard work will really begin

Budgets

Not the biggest of wage budget for next season and transfer budget we're going to have to get creative with

Malaga v Deportivo

Malaga showing that we could be upstaged at any point.

Cartagena v Deportivo

Noel Lopez given a rare start up top and scores a quick 2 minute double. Its just a shame we couldn't get anymore in the final 80 minutes.

Deportivo v Girona

We just make it look easy here as Torre scores 2 goals from midfield before Mella also gets a rare goal.

Albacete Balompie v Deportivo

A really poor game from us here as we just couldn't get a foothold in the game here and were lucky to walk away with a point

Deportivo v Mirandes

What a final couple of minutes as it looks like we've thrown the win away and then get it straight back a minute later.

Real Betis v Deportivo

What a way to end the season as Nino has his best game so far for us netting an incredible 4 goals.

League

A great end to the season for us as we only lose 1 game which hopefully shows we're ready to go up this time and not going to come straight back down.

Player of the Season

Fer Nino has been an inspired signing for us since he joined in January scoring 21 goals from just 19 games. He's going to be key for us next season if we can hold onto him​

Season 4

Transfers Out

Only 3 players have left the club this summer. Ante Palaversa never really made it last season after he signed on a free transfer so £3m and to get his £13,000 a week off the wage budget it perfect sense. Dahlberg had his release clause activated by a number of clubs so we didn't have a choice in him leaving but we'd signed him 2 seasons ago for £145,000 so we made a huge profit off him and can reinvest it in the squad


Transfers In

So this was the tricky part as we lost a couple of our loan players in the summer but we did manage to keep Reinier and Torres for yet another season to show what they can do in LaLiga. The first 3 players we birng in were all on precontract deals so the Lunin one was perfect as he will now be the 1st choice keeper.

We desperately needed a new first choice LB so we splashed most of our budget on Juan Miranda from Real Betis. Next in was a player who I'm very excited about is Pedro Torres and he looks an absolute bargain for the young Colombian.

The final player we signed was Reiss Nelson as we needed a new right winger and to be honest it was another deal that was too good to turn down as I expect to be able to make a big profit off him in the future

Squad

I feel that we have a good squad but there is space for another few players to come in and add some depth. We especially need a 2nd goal keeper to come in

Friendlies

We had an amazing preseason with only losing 1 game against some very strong teams to give us a nice confidence boost for the season ahead

Expectations

Nothing too unexpected here for us as I know we will be right in about the relegation zone this season

Deportivo v Espanyol

We get off to the best start we could of asked for this season and it was made even more special by Lopez scoring the first goal since he's now scored in every division for us.

Levante v Deportivo

Another good result for us as we avoid defeat and Torres shows that he can step up here and we made the right decision of extending his loan for the 3rd season.

League

Can't complain about this at all after just two games.

Transfers

WE didn't carry out any more deals until deadline day as we decided to sell Santi Ramos Mingo to Sevilla for £9.5m for another huge profit so to replace him we moved some of the transfer budget to the wages and then made two signings.

Anel Ahmedhodzic comes in as a like for like replacement and actually becomes our best centre back and we even have the option to sign him at the end of the season for £12.5m if we can afford him.

We also signed a keeper who seems happy enough to be a backup and he will be very capable if we ever need to call upon him as well.


To show the gulf in class from the rest of the league here are what everybody is spending on wages as we are spending £150,000 less than the team above us

Our first big test in our next match but what gives us hope is that we get to play the two teams that got promoted along side us​

Deportivo v Atletico Madrid

We did well here against one of the established top 3 and pushed them all the way through the 90 minutes

Deportivo v Granada

Granada have been gradually improving over the last 3 seasons so this was a very big win for us as Nino gets another goal

Athletic Club v Deportivo

This was actually disappoint as even though we fell behind early we should of still managed to get something after Muniain was sent off but we just couldn't find a way through

Real Sporting v Deportivo

A must win game for us here and we did brilliantly her to get Nino another goal before Bianda wrapped it all up right at the end

Deportivo v Almeria

Another must win game for us and we absolutely destroyed Almeria here and didn't give them a chance.

League

We somehow sit in 6th position after 7 games and only 6 points off of top spot.

A tough run of games here which includes our first derby game against Celta Vigo before Villarreal and Barcelona​

Alaves v Deportivo

We got off to a great start with Nino getting on the scoresheet in only 6 minutes and then we had to wait until the 2nd half but we made our dominance count and scored 4 goals for our 2nd game in a row.

Deportivo v Celta Vigo

Our first derby game of the season and we came so close to an upset but it all came undone dur to sloppy defending right at the end of the game

Villarreal v Deportivo

A big challenge here and Villarreal were just too strong for us sadly

Barcelona v Deportivo

We did really well to get back into this game after falling behind thanks to a counter attack but Griezmann was just too good and came on and got the inning goal for Barca from 25 yards out

League

We somehow find ourselves in 6th spot but a whopping 12 points off top spot

Fer Nino is a class above as he rescues us a point here with an excellent poachers finish from 2 yards out

Real Madrid v Deportivo

We came here expecting to lose but I feel that even though we conceded twice in the 2nd half we still did ok considering we played the majority of it with 10 men.

League

We drop down to 9th spot and it looks like its going to be a 2 horse race for the title.

Another couple of rough games this month as we could do with a win again soon but we also have a nice easy game in the cup to look forward to.​

This really was a tale of two halves here as we went in at half time looking very comfortable and then came out after the break a different team and managed to completely blow it

Real Vallecano v Deportivo

Its now been 7 games without a win and our confidence has really dropped now

Osasuna v Deportivo

We finally get a break through here as Nino is able to get the vital 2nd goal

Deportivo v Leganes

Our confidence is back it seems as we keep our 2nd clean sheet along with scoring another 2 goals

Llanera v Deportivo

This was scary going 1 down after only 3 minutes but some choice words at half time made all the difference as we progress to the 2nd round

League

We are still somehow in 6th after our recent form thanks to our last 2 wins as the teams around us seem to have had similar form

There are no easy months in this league but we have had a favourable draw in the cup again which will help matters​

Transfers Out

We had a very profitable transfer window for us as we sold 2 players that we only signed in the summer for free transfers for over £10m which can only improve us. We then decided to sell Gomez and Nartey for another £4.2m as they were now both backup players and we may as well cash in on them while we can.

Transfers In

We did some of our transfer business before the window even opened in signing Mingueza and Blanco earlier in the season to help with depth in defence and defensive midfield. We also agreed a precontract deal to bring Puig to the club and decided to take the buy now option as well to make him the highest paid player at the club. We then didn't do any more business until deadline day after we got the funds from selling Sutalo. We then went and signed Roger Lopez from Malaga who looks like he could be a top class player in the future if he develops as the scouts expect.

Finally we decided sign Anjorin on a deal now as well after he agreed a precontract deal to make sure we have plenty of cover in central midfield

Deportivo v Getafe

Well we manage to keep our run going thanks to Nino again getting on the end of a long ball and slotting it past the keeper

Lugo v Deportivo

We didn't have any scares this time as we made light work of Lugo here thanks to us putting out a strong team

Sevilla v Deportivo

Even though we took the lead here Sevilla were just the much better team and we didn't have any answer to them once they got going

Copa del Rey 3rd Round
Cadiz v Deportivo

We got another massive scare here going 2-0 down after 37 minutes. Thankfully though we had Noel Lopez upfront for us in a position change and once he gets going he run rings around the Cadiz players.

Espanyol v Deportivo

With games coming thick and fast our fitness took our toll here as we ended up not being able to do much in the 2nd half.

Deportivo v Levante

Not much to say here as it was a really disappointing game

Deportivo v Barcelona

Our run against Barcelona keeps going as we lose to them yet again and go no further than the 4th round yet again

League

We drop down the table a bit but at least we're still miles away from a relegation fight.
