I was wondering if I set my team to counter/Rigid and close down a lot less, but I give my player a individual instruction to close down a lot more, will he close down a lot more? basically will a player setting override team settings?

Player Instructions always overrides Team Instructions... Opposition Instructions always overrides Player Instructions and, therefore, also Team Instructions.

Player instructions override team instructions.

Player instructions always seem to interfere with team instructions, so I haven't put player instructions on any of my tactics and I seem to have more success playing without players instructions
