Welcome!!

I've decided to start a new player story, not about one, but about two players.

These two players are brothers (as you might have guessed from the title), but they're also twins, playing in completely opposite positions.

The reason I put them in opposite positions is because I don't want to be forced to compare their playing styles or ability at any point of time.

So, let me introduce the first brother....

Andrew Stafford - Goalkeeper

Andrew Stafford is being described as a promising goalkeeper (God knows England needs more of those), and top teams are already enquiring about him, although he could still start out at Newport County.

And, now on to the second brother....

Robert Stafford - Striker

Robert Stafford is the opposite of his brother. As the striker, he's sure to get more attention from clubs, and that's evident, because around 15 clubs are attempting to sign him, including Liverpool and Man Utd.
A move to Ireland would ensure first team football, but that would be detrimental at such a young age.

Stay tuned to find out what happens.
(*I'll still be continuing my other story alongside this one)

I don't think you should expect much news for two-three seasons - they'll probably be sent on loan, though.

I'll be off for the weekend so may not be able to update the story. Will be back on Monday!

SEASON 2013/14

October - December 2013

Stats (excluding friendlies)

58. Andrew Stafford (GK)

Aston Villa U18s are in 8th place in their group, and that is down to Stafford keeping only 1 clean sheet, because they have the league top scorer in their midst.

37. Robert Stafford (ST)

Stafford has been in fine form for City's EDS and youth squad, especially in the UEFA Youth League. Hopefully, this kind of form sees him brought into the first-team in a few years.

Not much to report, really.

55. Robert Stafford (ST)

The good news is Robert made his professional debut. The bad news - he came on for 3 minutes of stoppage time (subbed on for Jovetic) , and in that time, only one ball was played up to him , which he missed. So his first game in football goes unnoticed by everyone except Jesus Navas (who attempted the only pass forward in those 3 minutes) - sad, really.

He also spent 3 weeks out with a torn hamstring, so there's that.

Sorry I haven't updated this, I was busy with my finals and other exams....plus I'd recently gotten into another save. That one keeps crashing, just like this one used to (the reason why I stopped in the first place).

I was able to dig up a backup I'd stored elsewhere, so I'll resume this and you should see a new post in a few hours.

Stafford's inexperience is starting to show, especially in his professional debut against Barnsley in the Cup. I say he should retire now, he allowed Emile Heskey to score....

A twisted ankle kept out Stafford for the whole of September and thwarted his call-up to the England U19s.
