Harry - OUT!
In sensational news today coming from White Hart Lane, Harry Redknapp has been sacked as manager of Tottenham Hotspur. Reasons are unknown but reports are suggesting that Harry felt it was time to go and was time to retire to go go enjoy his 'Golden Years'. Shocking news that has rattled many around White Hart Lane, espicially the players. Such players like new Brazilian Sandro, Peter Crouch and Younes Kaboul are all wondering where they will stand in the new manager's ranks as they are all recently signed by Harry.
Lorenzo - IN!
Tottenham Chiefs have today announced that young Italian Antonio Di Lorenzo has been chosen to replace Harry Redknapp at the helm. With no managerial experiance at top flight Lorenzo is seen as a huge risk by many and left numerous Tottenham fans pondering the question - 'Who?'
He was born in the Italian capital Rome in 1979. Following a succesful playing career in the Lower Leagues of the Italian games, he made a summer move to Naples to play for Napoli at the age of 23. On his Serie A debut, Lorenzo was involved in a crunching tackle that (unknown to him) would end his career. For the next 3 years Lorenzo would try and force a comeback to play for Napoli again and had several appearances over the years, but his injury had rocked his confidence, and his knee. So scared and plagued with doubt over it, Lorenzo called it a day and took to England to try and achieve a coaching role. After earning his coaching badges, Lorenzo applied around and earned the role of Reserve team manager at Crystal Palace. During a succesful stint as Reserve manager Tottenham noticed him, and seen him as an ideal replacement for Harry. Young and had plenty of flair, Lorenzo was given permission to speak to Tottenham Chiefs, and on the 07/07/09 he was appointed as manager of Tottenham Hotspur.

I think this is by far the best move for me. There were other offers from HSV and AC Milan but this wasnt just a decision based on myself, I had family to consider also. It made sense for Me and Carly to stay in London. But Tottenham are a great club and once I knew of their interest there wasnt anywhere else I wanted to be. When I met Antonio he was very warming and rather humerous to be fair to him. He informed me his plans and where he wanted to go with this club over the next few years and this did make me very interested.
With Cole arriving though, many believe this has paved the way for either Bentley or Lennon to leave. Although no official comments have been made on either of the players future's, it is said that the rumours are to be true. In other news for departures, Roman Pavlyuchenko has sealed a move to the Camp Nou on a deal worth £5million. Tottenham have made a huge loss on this deal, but Lorenzo said he couldn't force Roman to stay.
Lorenzo though has been expressing his interest in Manchester City Winger/Forward Robinho. So was it Lorenzo who pushed Pav out to force the way through for Robinho?
So far Lorenzo has not commented on this.
