Harry - OUT!
In sensational news today coming from White Hart Lane, Harry Redknapp has been sacked as manager of Tottenham Hotspur. Reasons are unknown but reports are suggesting that Harry felt it was time to go and was time to retire to go go enjoy his 'Golden Years'. Shocking news that has rattled many around White Hart Lane, espicially the players. Such players like new Brazilian Sandro, Peter Crouch and Younes Kaboul are all wondering where they will stand in the new manager's ranks as they are all recently signed by Harry.

Lorenzo - IN!
Tottenham Chiefs have today announced that young Italian Antonio Di Lorenzo has been chosen to replace Harry Redknapp at the helm. With no managerial experiance at top flight Lorenzo is seen as a huge risk by many and left numerous Tottenham fans pondering the question - 'Who?'

He was born in the Italian capital Rome in 1979. Following a succesful playing career in the Lower Leagues of the Italian games, he made a summer move to Naples to play for Napoli at the age of 23. On his Serie A debut, Lorenzo was involved in a crunching tackle that (unknown to him) would end his career. For the next 3 years Lorenzo would try and force a comeback to play for Napoli again and had several appearances over the years, but his injury had rocked his confidence, and his knee. So scared and plagued with doubt over it, Lorenzo called it a day and took to England to try and achieve a coaching role. After earning his coaching badges, Lorenzo applied around and earned the role of Reserve team manager at Crystal Palace. During a succesful stint as Reserve manager Tottenham noticed him, and seen him as an ideal replacement for Harry. Young and had plenty of flair, Lorenzo was given permission to speak to Tottenham Chiefs, and on the 07/07/09 he was appointed as manager of Tottenham Hotspur.

Lorenzo makes 1st Signing!

Sky Sports have announced today that former Chelsea and West Ham midfielder Joe Cole has joined Lorenzo's Tottenham Hotspur. He has signed a 4 year deal worth £40,000 a week.

Cole said ;
I think this is by far the best move for me. There were other offers from HSV and AC Milan but this wasnt just a decision based on myself, I had family to consider also. It made sense for Me and Carly to stay in London. But Tottenham are a great club and once I knew of their interest there wasnt anywhere else I wanted to be. When I met Antonio he was very warming and rather humerous to be fair to him. He informed me his plans and where he wanted to go with this club over the next few years and this did make me very interested.

With Cole arriving though, many believe this has paved the way for either Bentley or Lennon to leave. Although no official comments have been made on either of the players future's, it is said that the rumours are to be true. In other news for departures, Roman Pavlyuchenko has sealed a move to the Camp Nou on a deal worth £5million. Tottenham have made a huge loss on this deal, but Lorenzo said he couldn't force Roman to stay.

Lorenzo though has been expressing his interest in Manchester City Winger/Forward Robinho. So was it Lorenzo who pushed Pav out to force the way through for Robinho?

So far Lorenzo has not commented on this.

More updates to come soon!

Another story? In the past week I have seen your Roma and Uruguay ones... What have you done with them? Anyway good luck...

0-2

A vintage display from new signing Gabby Agbonlahor earns Tottenham an impressive victory over their arch rivals. Away at the Emirates Spurs scored the first after 40 seconds via a goal from Joe Cole. Agbonlahor dribbled past 2 before releasing a through ball to Cole who had came in from the right wing. The second Agbonlahor starts a run on the left, dribbles past Bacary Sagna before cutting into the box and being fouled by Thomas Vermalaen(Sp). Wilson Palacios nets the penalty and Lorenzo makes an impressive start to The Premier League Campaign.

Following the amazing display against Arsenal at the Emirates, Tottenham now traveled to Greece to participate in their Best Placed play-off against Olympiakos in the UEFA Champions League. With the team clearly on a high, was a great result achieveable away from home?

0-2

A brace from Jermaine Defoe dazzles the Greek side and Spurs followers. An impressive performance from the London side and have now put themselves in a good position for the home tie.

4-0

Another fine display for Tottenham showed by the the score. Giovani Dos Santos, Tom Huddelstone and Peter Crouch all scoring. An own goal completed the sheer humiliation for the Greeks. Their manager atmitting that his side were simply outclassed.

Dos Santos has been enjoying life in London recently after a 'Bumpy' start.

Spurs un-impressive against The Blues

2-0

An impressive brace from Didier Drogba sees Chelsea beat fellow Londoners Tottenham at the Bridge. Chelsea pretty much controlled the game throughout with some flashes of genious from players like Lampard and Jefferson Farfan. Tottenham though did have a few chances but never took. With vice captain Robbie Keane sulkily sitting on the bench, rumours have already emerged of a falling out and a possible departure. As yet neither Keane or Lorenzo has made any comment on the matter.

Huddlestone saves Spurs

2-1

A poor performance from Tottenham today resulted in them just scraping the 3 points against Wigan. A late Tom Huddlestone goal in the fourth minute of injury time was in the end the deciding factor in a game which Tottenham should have won more comfortably. They now welcome The Red Devils to White Hart Lane in what is gearing up already to be some game.

Thrilling performance matched with thrilling score!

Defoe after his 1st of 2 goals

4-1

Spurs players, fans and all associated with the club were today delighted with the result they picked up today against Manchester United. Against a strong Manchester United side Lorenzo's Spurs enjoyed 2 braces, one from Agbonlahor and one from Defoe. Both performances of these players were widely praised in the media, espicially by both Sir Alex Ferguson on the performance of Agbonlahor and Lorenzo on that of Defoe. Tottenham now look forward to an exciting September.

Tottenham declare interest in Barcelona's Bojan

Tottenham manager Antonio Di Lorenzo has publicaly announced his interest in signing Spainsh Wonderkid Bojan Krkic from Catalan giants F.C Barcelona. Lorenzo stated that he would do his utmost to sign a player that pocesses such quality that Bojan has. Bojan, 18, has also made it public although he is happy in Spain, he wouldn't rule out a January move to London.

The young Spainard has recently come under the spotlight after really stepping up alongside such players as Xaxi, Iniesta and World Player of the year, Lionel Messi. Like the players mentioned Bojan is another product of a wonderful Barcelona academy. Over the past 2 years he has made 54 appearances and scored 12 goals though these do genearly consist of Substitute appearances. He made his International debut in 2008 against Armenia at the age of 18 and its no doubt a future star. Though where he plays his football come January is now up for debate.

But with these reports circuling White Hart Lane there will be a man who will be disappointed to hear such news ; Robbie Keane. The record goal scorer for Ireland and Vice - Captain has so far been out of favour due to the great partnership between Agbonlahor and Defoe. At 29 though and carrying a wage of £60,000, will anybody take a risk on him?

I must say, the highlight of this thread is the poor 'shop job of Gabby's head on Defoe's body.

Great results so far this is worthy of being followed.

Did you manage to keep hold of Modric ? on mine City always seem to offer crazy money for him everytime.

Keep up the good work anyway :)

Haha, got to admit it was rather poor, though its my first attempt so thought it ws ok, but when you look at it you can see the clear colour differance in the skin.

Thanks mate, and yeh I kept him. Nobody bidded for him though Inter and Juventus kind of sniffed around and kept declaring interest. Play him left midfield and he's been steady, hope you keep following :)

Tottenham Call Press Conferance

Tottenham manager Antonio Di Lorenzo today gathered the English media to announce the that he had successfully completed the signing of Spanish striker Bojan from F.C Barcelona. The fee is £38million, a fee which shall be paid over a period of 48months and no money up-front. But there is one catch in the deal, a player moving in the opposite direction. This player is Tottenham's speed-demon, Aaron Lennon. 3rd choice winger now behind Joe Cole and Goivani Dos Santos, Lorenzo seen this as the ideal chance the offload the £40,500 a week player of his wage budget. Although many fans are obviously delighted with the completed signing of Bojan, some can't help but feel that F.C Barcelona have taken their club for a ride with this deal. Everyone will be hoping that it does pay off. Lennon will become the 2nd player to move to the Camp Nou this season after Russian striker Roman Pavlychenko also completed a £5million deal to go there in early July.

But Lorenzo wasn't finished. He then announced to the press that Vice - Captain Robbie Keane would be leaving in January in a £12million deal. When asked 'Who has he signed for?', Lorenzo replied ' Shahkter Donestk.' Robbie was said to be understandbly hurt by being out of favour at White Hart Lane and seen the chance to go play in Ukraine as the ideal chance to try and get some first team football. Shahkter were the only team to bid for the Irishman and are said to be able to afford his £60,000 a week wage package.

Robbie Keane though will never be forgotten by Spurs fans and is one of their favoured personal. He has made 231 appearances for Spurs and netted 91 goals in a 7 year stint with the club. Renowed also for his trademark celebration, Keane will leave a lasting effect on the English game and his precense will be sadly missed.

The question that arises now is, can Bojan fill the boots of Keane?

Tottenham win away to Stoke - Corluka nets a goal!

0-2

Away at the Britania today and the Spurs players didn't dissappoint their fans. Goals from defender Vedern Corluka and midfielder Tom Huddlestone earn Spurs 3 points. Huddlesstone had recently made his appearance for england in August and during the International break netted his 1st goal. he now has 3 caps and 1 goal for his country.

Rovers outclassed by Lorenzo's men!

2-0

Gabby Agbonlahor nets as well as Robbie Keane getting on the scoresheet. Both players very impressive as well as central midfielders Sandro and Huddlestone both showing their class. Agbonlahor's goal was also special as it was a run in which he started before dribbling past 2 players and shooting past a helpless Paul Robinson. A delighted Lorenzo was unable to hide his delight at times and sat with a smile on his face for most of the game whilst sitting in the dugout.

Toon slump to defeat!

1-3

An efficent Spurs side blew Newcastle away today as they defeated the Toon 3-1 at St.James Park. Goals from Luka Modric, Jermaine Defoe and Gabby Agbonlahor helped Tottenham to victory. Young Mexican Giovani Dos Santos also had the chance to score but missed his penalty, not that it effected the game in any way.

Thanks mate I'm glad you've changed your mind. I had a Tottenham save on FM2009 and got to 2018 so I'm going to try and do it on this one too. I hope you keep following and thanks for the comment :)

Yeh, I regret it already, its not worth it but I was desperate to sign Bojan. Maybe it will pay off, doubt it though.

Guardiola : Selling Bojan was a mistake!

In an exclusive interview with MARCA.com, Pep Guardiola admittied that selling Bojan to Tottenham may have been a mistake. Guardiola went on too admit that Bojan was one of the brightest stars to walk out onto the pitch at the Camp Nou and even a £38million price tag doesn't justify his quality.

Guardiola though didn't mention Aaron Lennon at any point during the interview and even avoided questions that were brought up about him. This has sparked fierce rumours that already in September and not even at Barcelona, Lennon might find himself out of a place with the Catalan giants.

But no matter how much Guardiola regrets the sale of his young striker the deal is done and Bojan will join on the 02/01/10.

Guardiola finished by saying that the move to Tottenham could be a good oppourtunity for him. But he was quick to plant doubt by adding that 'If he avoids the situation Giovani (Dos Santos) got into.'

So far, Bojan, Lorenzo or Lennon have yet to comment on this interview by Guardiola.

UEFA Champions League Groups Drawn..

Tottenham Hotspur have been drawn in the Group Stages of the Champions League. They have been drawn against F.C Barcelona, F.C Kobenhavn and Zenit St. Petersburg.

A relativly difficult group. F.C Barcelona and Tottenham who have been doing business with one another lately over the transfer of Bojan will now face each other. This is geared up as a difficult gme for both sides as Tottenham certainly wont lie down for Barcelona.

But we can't underestimate the other teams in the group. Former Chelsea winger Jespar Gronkjaer plays for F.C Kobenhavn and told FIFA.com that he was really geared up about playing Tottenham and returning to London once again.

Zenit also are a tough team and one European glory in 2008 when they beat Rangers in the UEFA Cup Final in the City of Manchester Stadium. Arsenal Player and former Skipper of Zenit Andrey Arshavin has warned Tottenham if they don't show up against his former Russian employers that they will cause the upset.

But with the groups drawn, Spurs fans can now look forward to their team's participation in the UEFA Champions League.

Tottenham fall to F.C Kobenhavn!

3-2

A poor Tottenham side are defeated by F.C Kobenhavn. The Danish team were a lot brighter than Spurs on the day. It could have been more as Jespar Gronkjaer rattled the let upright twice in the first half. But, a brace from Robbie Keane made this look less embarresing for the people who didnt manage to watch the game. Fans of Spurs though in England and travelling fans in Denmark were extremely unhappy and certainly made their feelings vocal, and at times, violent. One fan was charged with assult whilst in Denmark. FIFA also fined Tottenham £15,000 for the sitution.

Spurs demolish Wolves at Molineux!

2-6

A delightful second half performance from Jermaine Defoe sees him net a hat-trick inside 25 minutes. After coming on in the second half, Defoe nets the perfect hat-trick. Gabby Agbonlahor, Peter Crouch and Luka Modric completes the scorers. But Defoe's performance grabs the headlines and clearly merits his Tottenham position ahead of Robbie Keane and his England position.

Zenit fail to impress at White Hart Lane!

3-0

A Luka Modric brace today and a goal from Jermaine Defoe wrap up the 3 points for Lorenzo's men today. Modric's performance really impressed Luciano Spaletti and he widely praised it in the media, Lorenzo also commented about it in the media and also praised how good it was. Tottenham also needed 3 points after the defeat in Denmark, and now look forward to their trip to the Camp Nou.
