AC MILAN v INTERNAZIONALE

With only two points separating table-toppers AC Milan from fierce rivals Inter Milan in the Serie A, the exciting derby takes greater significance as the season draws closer to a finish.

Head to head:

Inter's main attacking thrust will be Cameroonian star Samuel Eto'o , who is the third top scorer in the league and is in fantastic goal-scoring form.
Eto'o has racked up 19 goals and seven assists over 2273 minutes played, meaning he creates a goal or scores one every 87 minutes.

Hosts AC Milan will sorely miss former Inter powerhouse Zlatan Ibrahimovic due to suspension after the Swede was dismissed against Bari. This is a cause for worry for the Rossoneri, who fell to a 1-0 defeat against Palermo last weekend without their marquee striker.
In Ibrahimovic's place, Brazil striker Alexandre Pato - who has clocked up 11 goals and an assist over 1211 minutes - will likely become his team's primary attacking outlet if he will be fit for the match.

Latest derby outcomes:

In the last decade, AC Milan and Inter have been pitted against each other on 23 occasions, with Milan claiming 12 victories to Inter's eight. Three fixtures ended in a draw.
Inter have also won six of the last nine derby games, but AC Milan came out on top last November as they chalked up a marginal 1-0 win.
As both teams play at the San Siro, the home ground effect does not apply here; but throughout history, AC Milan recorded 107 victories over their fierce rivals, while Inter registered 95 successful derby results.
It's also worth noting that Inter have won more Serie A games than Saturday's opponents, with 64 league wins to AC Milan 's 59.

PROBABLE LINE-UPS

AC Milan
Abbiati; Abate, Nesta, Thiago Silva, Antonini; Gattuso, Van Bommel, Seedorf; Boateng; Pato, Robinho

Internazionale
Julio Cesar; Maicon, Ranocchia, Cordoba, Zanetti; Thiago Motta, Cambiasso, Stankovic; Sneijder; Pazzini, Eto'o

I am going for 2-1 AC Milan win.

I must say, this new forum style really lends itself to detailed OP layouts. Looks much better there than it would have on the previous skin.

On topic: AC Milan 2 - 1 Inter Milan is my prediction, though I hope Inter win. Lost the little respect I had for AC Milan when we knocked them out, and the resulting nerd rage from their fans online.

Agree with the style. Much more professional.

My prediction..

Missed a goal because my stream was loading.. good goal?

Who scored the second?
Stopped watching at half time. Couldn't take the Italian commentary, and couldn't bare the silence either.
