Adding and removing leagues

I wasn't to remove a few leagues I have loaded up on my save. is there a best time to do this and does it effect the game in any dramatic way?

You can only remove them at season end, the computer will decide for you, just add or delete in the list, it will give you a date at the bottom of when the game will season update and remove.
