Adding nation help

Hi guys just wondering how long it takes for the game to register a new nation for example

Started the game picked say England France and Germany so if I search for a Swedish player it won't find them , then when I go into settings and add Sweden I still can't find him after 2 days of simulating so thinking does it take a whole season if not how long does it take

It will say on the nation youve selected, the date it will be active from
