Hi guys/girls,

Having major issues with Liverpool.

What is the best formation/tactics combo for this team? I have been using a 4-2-3-1 formation with the control and very fluid setting and playing short passing possession football. However its february and im only 8th. It seems to be inconsistent, beating city 1-0 then losing 2-0 to stoke. Any thoughts?

Also, whats your opinions on the MC Schnierderlin? Bought him he 1st summer but regretting it already, pretty average, might have to sell at the end of this first season.

Cheers.

mate in my save with liverpool i also tried 4-2-3-1 i won man utd then losing from swansea , nott forest(fa cup home) draw with west ham and winning 3-2 chelsea, im at 15th february i switched to 4-4-2 with AML and AMR and it seems to be working for me, you should try it out.The only transfer i made is Shaqiri from bayern (wanted him for 4-2-3-1 but plays normal at AML position.

P.S: I changed tactics/ formations like 5 times this half season to find the one that suits more to the team.

I'm currently trying to recreate the tactic Brendan has implied at Liverpool at the moment. This is what I've come up with -

As you can see it started off really well, But after a few injuries to key players, And the defense being really inconsistent it's kind of hit a wall. we're still sitting in 3rd in the league but we've had a few tough games recently. Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd one after the other. And that loss to Everton hit us pretty hard.

EDIT: As someone pointed out, This is actually a picture I used for a game or two because of injuries. Johnson is usually at RWB, Gerrard is usually in Hendo's spot and Coutinho is usually where Suarez is as he moves to Complete Forward. I also use Coutinho as an Enganche

Johnson should be RWB not sterling, Henderson should have a box to box role and Suarez and Sturridge should be up front with Coutinho behind them in and Enganche role.

Mate can u post all ur Team Instructions :)
Please

I'm assuming you mean mine? If so -

Retain Possession
Shorter Passing
Work Ball Into Box
Play Out of Defense
Look for Overlap
Hassle Opponents
Lower Tempo
Be More Expressive

I said I have injuries to key players... Meaning Johnson, Coutinho, Gerrard and even Agger has only just come back from a long injury.

Actually I should of put a picture of the actual formation up, This one was one I had to change to because of them injuries. You're correct on all, I do play Johnson at RWB. Gerrard is usually in Hendo's spot, So I keep him as a DLP. And Coutinho is usually a Enganche.
