African and Asian players... Worth the risk?

So I have always had the tendency to sell any asian or african player when playing in europe because of the asian and african cups. Are these players really worth keeping in the team no matter how strong they are? I would really like to know your opinions.

I would say having 1 or 2 is perfectly fine, as long as you have capable back-ups to fill in while these players are away.

Problem is they always tend to become better than my european and american players thus leaving a huge hole in my team's depth when they go to their cups

They aren't away that long that often so I don't see why you'd sell them because of this, like DonVilla said, have capable back-ups.

Honestly... I've never really targeted africans... the chances of finding a good player are low... I have my scouts trawl the Americas and Europe + parts of Asia.
