Never really see these so thought id try one and post it as I like trying new or unusual leagues. I started an Asian / African merged journeyman as an unemployed manager with a custom downloaded database I have every country available to add in and out. My list of current playable leagues are below.

We started in pre season 2024 unemployed and we got a job at a club in the Jordanian first divison 🇯🇴 (top division) with a club called Shabab Al Ordon. Media predicted 12th which is bottom of the league and currently we going into the winter break of the season currently top of the league! Massively over achieving as board wastes avoid relegation.

Jordanian cup competitions are below also which we didn’t win any but we got super close to the final but played one of the best teams in jordan Al Hussein. Focus for me is mainly on the league anyway.

We have quite an aging squad so need reinforcements for next season with some younger legs and only allowing Jordanian goalkeepers in the league is a cool quirk.

I’ll update the final table at the end of the season. Hopefully we get a continental competition place 🙏

journeyman end of season 1:

After such a good first half of the season Being top at the start of the winter break the second half we seemed to run out of steam and we ended up finishing 5th but as you can see the points were so tight and we didn’t qualify for a continental competition place. Not happy from my point of view as we were up there and seeemingly threw it away but for a club and board perspective we smashed expectations out the park. It still hurts though.

You can see our last game we needed to win and some favours and we lost to Al wehdat who did go on to qualify but they score two very fortunate penalties which I was not happy about but all in all we didn’t play well enough to win anyway.
Small mention for our striker being third top scorer in the league at 36 years old.

Something interesting did happen however Al Faisaly were relegated but at the start of the season they were favourites to win the league!

We will see what jobs come available and if any take my fancy if not we will build and go again next year.

New countries playable: Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Cameroon, Kenya, Senegal, Tanzania
Removing: Afghanistan, Bahrain, Mali

Africa/Asia merged journeyman update:

So I was looking around and applied for a few jobs to seen what could happen. We got interviewed by this team right here Al Qadsia in Kuwait 🇰🇼 and I thought this might be similar level to us now . To my amazement they offered me a job with 6.5m transfer budget! In Jordan we only had 26k. Easy yes.

Signed for them and they have a strong bank account of 11m so this certainly a step up. They finished 4th last year in Kuwait so no continental competitions for us but we will see how we do in the three cups and the league this season. The club eBay us to be competitive in all fronts and only a mid table finish of the league. Very decent goals to achieve there. Now to get going analyse what we have and see if I can do any deals.

No winter break in this schedule so I’ll make my own and do an update around December/ January time. Here we go! Kuwait 2025/2026

Thats two great continents to manage in. Im currently in Australia which is a great challenge. I think Tanzania could be fun though
Yeah I wanted to try these leagues as not many people do and there is a lot of clubs I don’t know

African/asian update season 2: 2025/2026 mid season January

So we moved to Kuwait 🇰🇼 with Qadsia and they had a healthy bank balance of 11m and a good transfer budget of 6.5m which was a great start considering in Jordan we only had 28k transfer Budget. only 5 foreigners allowed so I did a few moves and made space for a foreign goalie and a foreign striker as my options up top weren’t great considering by best striker was 49yo.

Signing Al-Ghassani from a club in Oman for a fee of only 58k was a great piece of business currently he’s our teams top scorer in the league with 7 goals which isn’t bad at all. Goalkeeper free agent signing Gohari had also been excellent only conceding 10 goals which is the best in the league. Shout to our LB Al-Dhafeeri who’s the leading assister in the league with 8.

As you can see we currently sit 2nd a point behind league favourites Al -Arabi with a game in hand. This is great considering we were tipped at the start to be 4th/5th. Below is a screen grab of our match against Al -Arabi and I took it because what a game it was we went behind and down to ten men and still managed to win 3-1 against the titles favourites. We have scored the most in the league too with 29 goals in 9 games.

As for other competitions. Kuwait crown cup. The last time the club were in a final was 2020 and we were runners up and the last time the club won it was 2017. A emphatic 7-3 win against league strugglers Khaitan sent us to the final for the first time as a club in 5 years as we face league title favourites Al Arabi. That game is scheduled for February 3rd so you’ll see if we win it in the end of season update.

We are also in Kuwait federations cup which I haven’t really been to fussed about in all honesty and it is split into two groups. currently we are 2nd after 5 games and I think we need to play two more but that’s in the new year.

All in all great season so far and surpassing expectations. We will see what January brings and if any new players and maybe a trophy or two.

African/asian journeyman update end of season 2025/2026 🇰🇼 Qadsia:

So what a season! As you can see we won rhe championship round meaning we won the league for the first time since 2015. What an achievement. We won it with two games to go and a great few results over title favourites Al Arabi.

I won’t go through them all but you can see all the stats from the team and players below in the screenshots. shout out to the top goal scorer in the league our striker Al Gassani what a signing he’s been. Also the LB assist master Al Dhafeeri won top assister in thr league too.
This is simply a great achievement and I’ve throughly enjoyed the season in Kuwait from not knowing any player or any club and now to win the league. Loved it.

With finishing 1st we also get a birth in the AFC challenge group stage. This will be a great adventure for us and I’m lolling forward to it.

We also won manager of the season which was an honour to recieve with us defying the odds of winning the league despite not being in the top 3 favourites to win it all.

Special mention to our veteran CB Sergio Vittor he retired at the end of this season but what a fitting end to score the last goal of the game on his final game in the 5-1 victory over salmiya. 👏

Thanks for people who are following this as I’ve not done this in a long time and it’s great to share these new adventures and my experiences with you guys.

Heres to next season and the AFC challenge league 2026/2027 💪🏼

African/asian merged journeyman summer Window update 🇰🇼 Al Qadsia:

So it’s the summer and we had some elite and good talent intakes I’ve provided screenshots of the elite ones they should be good for the future. El enezi cb, Al mutairi rb ,Saad cb.

Some players have left notably veteran Striker Al motawa 41yo and veteran cb vittor both retired.

I made some new signings however and they are pictured below. Al dossari as a new rb from league rivals salmiya. Safar as a rotational lb from league rivals tadamun. New cb foreign Hisham 90k from Al wehdat Jordan runners up who will take vittors place since he retired. A New dm zakaria from Al faisaly in Jordan and finally a right and left winger Al rubaiea from league rivals Burgan providing rotational option.

That should be us done apart from maybe one or two midfield options as back ups but they won’t be major players.

Most importantly Star striker Al ghassani and keeper gohari both signed new deals to stay with us longer.

Just a few friendlies play against some decent teams actually from Asia which I’ll show once they are completed and then our draw for our AFC challenge league group

African/asian merged journeyman preseason 2026/2027 🇰🇼 Al Qadsia:

So preseason friendlies have all been plaid and we’re all managed by my assistant whilst I was recruiting. New recruits and youth players getting game time and pleased to say we went unbeaten in preseason even against Saudi side Al Etfifaq. We scored 22 goals in 6 games and conceded 7.

So in a weird turn of events we were gearing up for the AFC challenge league. Then the draws started to appear and due to a recent rules change for this season due to performances lately of Kuwaiti teams in continental competitions we now get places in the AFC champions league and champions league 2. We won the league so we now play in the champions league elite this season! Wild! This is going to be a tougher test than we first thought. Mixing it with the big boys.

The group is looking rather tough to will admit but we have earned the right to be here so let’s have a go. Quite excited even though the task looks mammoth.

We still in a good financial positions after some wheeling and dealing on both sides of transfers. 8m still in the bank.

Our vision for this season by the board is to record a top half finish in the league. And be competitive in all other competitions. Seems very achievable to be honest and the lack of pressure to win the league again also helps as last year we massively overachieved. Hopefully we do again. Go into the season as 3rd favourites for the title one place higher in predictions than last year.

Next update will be mid season around January time. Here we go.

African/asian merged journeyman mid-season January 2026/2027 🇰🇼 Al Qadsia:

So the first half of the season has been an interesting one. A few extra competitions to compete in. So here is where we are at now at the start of January.

In the league we currently sit 2nd behind Al Arabi who have been lethal this season and not lost a game yet so they are 7 points clear of us. Going to take some effort and some major mess from them for us to overtake them and win back to back titles. Going into January our star striker Al-Ghassani is the leagues top scorer with 10 goals he’s on 13 in all comps, Great to see he’s firing again this year as he’s a big player for us.

Special mentions for our cm Fawaz who is on 8 goals and 10 assists in all comps this season and stepping up is a new signing this season Al-Rubaiea left winger scoring 9 and assisting 5 in all comps. Last seasons assist king Al-Dhafeeri is not as on fire as he was last year but still has 7 assists in all comps at the half way mark.

So after the rules changes last year we got a spot in the afc champions league elite tonight surprise which was totally different calibre we were expecting. So far it’s been a mixed bag but I knew the group was going to be tough especially with the Saudi, Qatari and Iranian clubs. Heavy defeats to Al Duhail, Al ittihad and Persepolis were expected really but we have had a few wins too.

Final two games of the league stage are in February against Shabab Al-Ahli of UAE who currently ate bottom of the league with 1 point and then we face Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia who are one place above us in 6th, Currently we sit 7th and the top 8 who advance to the round of 16.

For the second season in a row we are in the crown prince cup final again and against same opponents and usual rivals Al Arabi which takes place in February. Also taking place in February we have the Kuwait super cup which is make up of all the cup winners and league winner and we face salmiya in the semi final.

As for the transfer window we may have a development or two from players wanting to leave earlier in the season so we will see what happens during the window.

African/asian merged journeyman end of the regular season 2026/2027 🇰🇼 Al Qadsia:

So another season is over and what an eventful season it’s been.

One player I said to keep an eye on for leaving during the January window was Al Rashidi our Rw. Earlier in the season he asked to leave so in January he was sold 900k was his release clause he left for a Saudi club.

Injuries! They piled up over the second half of the season. during the champions league game against Shabab Al ahli our star striker Al ghassani injured his Achilles and is out for 5/6 months! This really was bad! So for the remainder of the season we had to start our back up striker Al besher. Out in form lw al rubaiea picked up an injury just before the crown prince final and was out for 6 weeks.

In the league we finished in 2nd place with 39 points ten points behind leaders Al Arabi which is great considering the injuries and all the other comps we were competing in. Next we go into the championship round. Somehow even with being injured the whole second half of the season Al- ghassani managed to finish the regular season as second top scorer.

Kiss el ameer cup: We played the preliminary round of the cup and we lost to Al Shabab 3-0 but in fairness I played a massively weakened team for the first game after the break for fitness and some debuts for youngsters so not too much of a loss and besides we had bigger completions and more important games to play.

AFC champions league elite: we finished 7th And made it to the round of 16 even with losing both remaining games of the group phase. We were pitted against Al Hilal in the round of 16 and this was our first meeting due to not being drawn to play them in the group stage. First leg at home we lost a very respectable 2-1. Second leg we players with a rotated tired team and we lost again 2-1 so that 4-2 agg loss as we now out of the AFC champions league elite. Not a bad showing considering the stature of some of these clubs compared to ours. We weren’t meant to be in this competition to begin with so we cannot complain with this outcome. Good showing of ourselves.

Kuwait super cup: we played salmiya and won 4-1 in the semi final which then set up a final against…. Kuwait SC. Finally no Al Arabi. We may have a chance here for a some silverware. It was played the very next day after playing Al Arabi in the league!! Seriously! We fielded our best team available and we lost 1-0. The fixtures schedule really did not do us any favours.

crown prince cup: we faced al Arabia for the second year in a row under our management and without our star striker it’s going to be tough. it was and we lost 5-1 and finished the game with 10 men. Another final without a cup.

Kuwait federations cup: we finish the group stage top of the league with 18 points from 7 games and only lost 1 of them. We advance to the semi final where we are drawn against Tadamun a favourable opponent with a chance to get to yet another final 3rd time lucky? An extra time 4-2 win sends us into the final however we play the dreaded rival Al Arabi. We owe them revenge for the crown prince final. Third final. Third defeat a close fought 1-0.

This season wasn’t meant to be for silverware but a great showing in continental competition against elite stature clubs and three finals is not a bad return when we were only expected to be competitive in all comps.

I have already made my mind up that this will be my last season with Qadsia in Kuwait. It’s been a great two years but I am going to look for the next challenge after the championship round of the league which I’ll add once a seperate update once I’m done.

African/asian merged journeyman end of the championship round 2026/2027 🇰🇼 Al Qadsia:

As I stated in my last update I have already made my mind up that this will be my last season with Qadsia in Kuwait. It’s been a great two years but I am going to look for the next challenge after the championship round of the league.

So we finished the season in second place which is a great achievement once again and this secured Qadsia another season in continental competitions as a parting gift.

Below us the biggest win, match to remember and goal of the season highlights from this season.

Al ghassani was our top scorer in the team with 15 goals in all competitions. Huge shout outs to fawaz and al rubaiea for being consistent all season for us with big performances and high levels ratings each week.

Goodbye Kuwaiti it’s been fun. Where are we off next? Let’s see 👀

African/asian merged journeyman

So a few jobs came about. Expressed interest in the Al nassr job in Saudi although wasn’t shortlisted they did say I would have bee a good fit for their vision! But then hired steven gerrard 😂i also Don’t make the cut for the job at UAE clubs Sharjah or last seasons afc champions league opponents shabab al ahli either not even an interview maybe aiming a bit high here so far.

Did get an interview for runners up in Tanzania last season Simba. They liked me and offered me a job so I delayed for a week. They offered me a 2m transfer budget which is good for their country.

up came the job for Al hilal. So of course I applied along with a few other Saudi teams including Al Khaleej, Al Riyadh and first division team Al Ain fc

Also Interviewed for a job in Iraq with last seasons 4th place team Al Quwa Al Jawiya. And also the runners up Al shorta who then approached me to sign.

Al Ain fc in Saudi first division offered me a job with a tasty transfer budget so they got delayed too.

Finally I decided. I’m changing continents hello Africa more specifically Tanzania 🇹🇿

African/asian merged journeyman a new chapter 2027/2028 season Simba fc 🇹🇿

The new club and new challenge is here in Tanzania with Simba FC last seasons runners up.

Below is just an introduction to the team and what they have achieved and finances etc. I’m not going to make any signings in this first window instead I’m going to use what we have and improve in the next window if we need to.

In stand outs you can see below is talented your winger Adam Omar at just 17 years old and he has a value of up to 1.2m this kid looks good. He needs to start in the team to get this potential used.

Also up top we have main striker leandre Onana also looks very good to lead the line for us.

We will be going with 451 formation with a holding midfielder an advanced playmaker and a ball winning midfileder and an advanced forward. This was the formation we were using so successfully at Qadsia with a new roles changes so let’s see if this success carries on into Tanzania.

African/asian merged journeyman halfway mark update January 2027/2028 season Simba fc 🇹🇿

As we are here in January 2028 here is the season update so far at the midway point as there is no games at all in January.

To start the season we have 8 players on international duty great start when we compete in the community shield. We win the first game 4-0 vs namungo but then we lose to young Africans 4-2 in the final. I think we May have won if we had our full squad.

One signing we made before the season started was cover at Lb by signing Ramadan Yusef 26yo Ethiopian lb from a team called Saint George in Ethiopia who provides cover for starting lb husseini.

We started our CAF champions league journey in the preliminary round (still 8 players on international duty) with a two leg qualifier against Fasil Kenema of Ethiopia and we breeze through with 5-0 agg win. We then we put again As Arta/Solar 7 from Djibouti (full squad to choose from now) which we won 4-3 on agg which means we now enter the group stage.

In that group stage we got drawn against: Al Hilal omdurman (SUD) 🇸🇩, Mamelodi sundowns (SA)🇿🇦 and SONACOS (Sen)🇸🇳

First three group games in the CAF champions league have been played and at the halfway mark we currently sit 2nd in the group with 4 points from a possible 9. Highlight being a 2-1 away win vs sundowns which I personally thought would be the trickiest game.

In the league after the first half of the calendar we currently sit 1st in the league.we are playing very well and already have broken away in a group of 3 for a title fight. The wildest result of the league campaign so far is a game we won against fellow title rivals Azam 8-6! Clearly defence wasn’t playing that day. Another stand out game was a 7-2 win over coastal Union away from home. It’s safe to say we are scoring alot of goals this year 46 in 16 games to be exact, this makes us the top scoring side so far in the league.

Some player shoutouts so far this season are:

Striker Leandre Onana. The guy I said would be good for us has hit 12 goals in 16 games at this stage of the season.

The second shout is for our left winger Kibu Denis who is currently joint top scorer in the league with Onana on 12 goals. I thought Adam Omar out young star would be the main man but it seems Denis has taken that one himself. Due his form this season so far he’s attracting interest from some clubs so this window will be interesting to see if we can keep him.

The transfer window is open but I’m not sure we really need anyone as we are currently flying right now.

Fingers crossed for the second half of the season 💪🏼

African/asian merged journeyman end of the 2027/2028 season Simba fc 🇹🇿

January window:
Signings: just the two signings in this window. I didn’t think we needed much at all.

Firstly we signed a back up striker just for when we need to rotate Onana we signed 28yo Steven Mukwala. Ugandan striker for 210k from Ghanaian side Asante Kotoko.

Secondly we signed depth in CB for some more cover and rotation and future proofing that position with 18yo talent Prince Tetteh for 245k from the same club in Ghana.

Outgoing players: so despite interest in Denis there was no bids revcieved for his services. Thankfully. We did have bids from two clubs for Onana however the form he’s in it’s not a surprise but it’s equally not a surprise that we rejected them without a thought. We did however loan a few young fringe players out for the remainder of the season to get some game time.

CAF champions league. In the group stage we needed to beat mamelodi sundowns to beat them on the last group game to qualifying for the next round it ended in a 1-1 draw which sees sundowns qualify instead of us. The point we lost the qualification for the next round wasn’t this game however it was the first game back after the January break against SONACOS who were bottom of the group and we blew a 2-0 lead and lost 4-2. Well that was a good entertaining first experience of the CAF for me as a manager. Always next time.
Final: Zamalek 🇪🇬 6-2 on agg 🇩🇿 CR Belouizdad

In the Tanzanian premier league we finished 1st place! First season in Tanzania and crowned champions and it’s the clubs first title since 23/24 season. We won the league with 2 games left to play with a 0-0 draw vs rivals young Africans being enough to secure the title. 🍾 🎉 we got to the top and never looked back scoring 84 goals in total and conceding the leagues least 26.

In January we started the Tanzanian Federation cup. We only reached the quarter finals after being defeated by league rivals Azam 1-0 despite being the better team. We did still meet our board requirement of being competitive but looking at the draw young Africans our man rivals and biggest threat weren’t even left in the competition in this round so it’s a bitter blow knowing if we won it would have been an easy route to the cup.

Our huge youth prospect Adam Omar handed in a transfer request with 4 games to go. Bit of a shock as he’s started a lot of games but he wants a more ambitious club?! Okay just wants a bigger move so if he wants it he can have it. Don’t want people here who don’t want to be.

Injury! Onana picks up groin strain with 3 games to go and will play no more part this season. His season is done. Time for our back up Mukwala we bough in January to step up.

Some player the season shoutouts:

Kibu Denis: won top goal scorer in the African cup of nations representing Tanzania scoring 5 goals. He finishes the season with 21 goals and 6 assists in all comps for us. Great season for the lad.

Leandre Onana: the guy speaks for himself with his stats this season leading the line. Scoring 25 goals in and becoming the clubs record goal scorer in a single season and also bags the leagues golden boot.

Tanzam Makasi 18 yo BWM has been a constant great performer for us all season even chipping in with 3 goals and 8 assists and at such a young age too.

Final achievements

We set a few new Club records this season:
Most points in a season
Most league wins in a season
Most goals scored by a player in a season (Onana)

What a season it’s been here in Tanzania with Simba but since we won the league and we already have had a taste of the CAF I feel it may just be the one and onto the next challenge. Where next?

African/asian merged journeyman start of another new chapter 2028/2029 season MC Alger 🇩🇿

So after resigned from Simba fc we had a few interviews but I still wanted to stay in Africa and we decided to take the job at MC Alger here in Algeria. I’ve heard of this team and I seen there were in the AFC champs league last season with us so knew they were decent calibre.

We will competing in the liga professionelle 1 Mobilis (the league) and the coupe D’Algerie Mobilis (the cup) however continental competitions is unknown if any at all for us at this time.

We have some decent finances with 2m in the bank and currently allowed 2m in transfer funds however the league rules are going to be new for us this year with only 3 foreign allowed in the match day squad and a few other rules of under 21s etc so no wild spending.

The team seems to be good with a 451 once again so we going to stick with the success we have had and keep the same formation and play style we have used all career so far. Why fix it if it’s not broken!

Squad standouts first glance:

Mounir Zotouni: Key player highlighted by the club 19 year old striker who looks fast and good finishing should be our main man io top this season but it’s a big gamble with his age. He’s valued at up to 1.5m so has very good potential.

Edgard Dakoi: probably be our main DM this season 28yo Dm. Only 5’4” but seems to have some very good attributes and some pace which is always good in that area of the pitch.

Okba Athmani: stand out cb 29 yo. He looks like he will be key in defence this year for us at 6’2” he’s a big boy looks strong and good jumping and tackling traits.

As far as board objectives go They want a title and cup double challenge so there is something pressure. And according to the season preview of the league we are second favourites behind CR Belouizdad. As a team we won the league in 26/27 season but before that the last title was in 2010.

So here’s to a new adventure in Algeria and see what’s happening the first half of the season. Let’s go
