Absolutely delighted. Don't even know how to explain how well our midfield played. St. Johnstone were non-existent and we totally deserved it. One point behind Rangers now. C'mon boys! Lazio up next

Majstorovic (9, 27)

We got absolutely battered. The first game I can really say that for, yet we still won by two goals. Can't really explain it as it was our only two attempts on goal. Both top class headers nonetheless but I'm hoping for a better performance in the next round against Roma (Semi-final)

So happy with the performance today. Played them off the park and we 'took the foot off the gas' in the second half. Totally dominated possession and played keep ball. A nice passing exercise for the lads in the second half. Gives us a two point lead over Rangers as they lost against St. Mirren. So happy! When we took over we'd already been written off- c'mon the lads! Hibernian up next in the Semi-finals of the Scottish Cup.

A good performance. Did what had to be done and got on with it. Nothing special, but luckily special wasn't needed today. Commons scored an absolute bomb of a goal which I was so pleased about and it gets us Dunfermline in the Final. Roma coming up on Thursday in Italy. Quietly confident again.

Just a quick message before the next update. Anyone have any suggestions? Think I should do more diary/personal updates or just keep the results up?

How about , Goal of the Season , Player of the Season and game of the Season at the end of this season? A review of the season at the end. Also, a preview of where you aim to be next season , in a personal diary format possibly?

i personally like a quick to the point story with results and transfers plus i like managers moving clubs and an explanation behind it :)

You are doing well. Its looking goos.Seems a bit iffy the fact that you completly turned there season around especially the results against the European teams.Altho saying that im not the best manager in the world by a long shot and probably wouldnt be able to do the same.I know that the results in Scotland come easy.Rangers are the only "real" competition but ill say this.Keep up the good form.

Cheers from both of you! I'll do all those you suggested and incorporate a more personal format for the very important stuff. My personal decisions etc will also be described in a personal format so you's know why I chose that certain thing etc.

Thanks for the feedback! In honesty, Celtic have a much better squad than I thought. Don't really pay too much attention to the 'big 2' of Scottish football in reality apart from the results, but the squad is pretty strong. The results come easy in the SPL but we've got lucky once or twice in the Europa League.

A match of two halves. Totally out played in the first yet we still managed to score. ANOTHER Majstorovic header! Second half, we performed much better and Stokes got us a possibly crucial goal. Absolutely delighted. Absolutely dreading playing Roma again next week. Nervous already! Aberdeen at home on Sunday!

Such a boring game! Not something to show those who you're trying to prove Football is great too. Absolutely ridiculous. Both teams were guilty of missing brilliant chances and a simple Ledley tap-in separated the two sides. Not impressed. Did not fill me with confidence for Thursday. Roma up next at Parkhead.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! PSG IN THE FINAL, HERE WE COME! It was a totally even match, both sides looked nervous even the experienced such as Totti. Neither team wanted to take the risk until Hooper picked the ball up, ran past 2 or 3 and slotted it past the keeper. What a guy! Hibernian in the league up next.

Not the best performance. Hibernian hit the woodwork three times and we were so lucky to not concede. Fantastic performance from Hildebrand in goal to keep us in it. Motherwell up next.

Didn't really have any competition whatsoever. We just had to give the ball to Hooper and he'd do the rest. I'll keep this in my thoughts, but personally, I don't see why he's only in the SPL. Celtic are a massive club, but the league gives him no competition whatsoever and he could easily survive in the Premier League. If an offer comes in for him from England, I'll accept. Hearts up next.

Poor, poor performance. They played us off the pitch and it was a wake up call to me, the players and the fans. An unlucky goal for Hamilton and a penalty was what separated the sides and Hearts probably deserved all three points. PSG on Wednesday in Bucharest. I'd settle for losing on extra-time right now to be honest, but I can't show that. Have to be positive.

Fantastic run in the Europa league, your doing well and hopefully you can keep it up until the end of the season and take the league off the hands of the blues.

UEFA Europa League Final 2012 Coverage
Live from the National Arena in Bucharest

View attachment 210718

"Hello there, I'm Richard Keys and this, is the UEFA Europa League final! Tonight we have two teams in a rich vein of form, PSG of France and Celtic of Scotland, and it promises to be a memorable game of football- do you agree Jamie?" Keys

"Of course Richard. Celtic have been very very impressive this year under young Carlos and I can only see them attacking tonight. They've played beautiful football and kept it relatively tight at the back all year round in both the SPL and the Europa League" Redknapp

"Yeah, they've really looked like such a big force so far this year and Carlos' contract runs out very soon. Rumours coming out of several clubs around Europe that he could be their man. Do you think he'll sign another year or two with Celtic or move on?" Keys

"Sad to say for Celtic supporters, but I think he'll move on. Although we sit here with them in the Europa League Final, I just believe he's proven himself and a bigger club will come calling. He's completely turned Celtic's season around and it will be interesting to see what he can do with another club. I'm sure he's grateful to Celtic for giving him his chance in football management, but I'm going to put my neck on the line and say he'll be leaving in the Summer" Redknapp

"Well, enough of Celtic, Jamie, what about PSG? Surely they're favourites for tonight after spending so much money bringing in quality like Pastore and Gameiro?" Keys

"Yeah, sure Richard. I'd normally put my money on PSG stealing the show tonight but Celtic have done well against the big teams this year. For the first time in ages, it's a game I can't really say who will win. Both teams are looking great with no major injuries and it promises to be a great night for football supporters across the land" Redknapp

"I can't agree more Jamie, I can't agree more. Now, the Celtic line-up has just come in so we'll take a quick look at that" Keys

Hooper

Commons Malbranque McCourt

Ledley Kayal

Izaguirre Majstorovic Rogne M. Wilson

Hildebrand

"So no real surprises there then Richard. A strong Celtic side which has proved it can perform when needed for Carlos Peel" Redknapp

"Yep, a definite strong side from Peel there. Only a couple of minutes before kick off now then, Jamie. Who would you be putting your money on today? Favour any particular side or are you going to wait to see how it pans out?" Keys

"Well Richard, I can't really predict a winner tonight. Celtic have an experienced keeper in Hildebrand and young Rogne looks a very strong centre back. We all know how well Ledley and Kayal have performed together for Peel and I'm sure they'll step it up tonight. They'll be very hard to get past, but we also know of their attacking abilities. Commons and McCourt are vital out on the wings and they need to pull a performance from the top drawer tonight. Hooper needs that service and I don't think anybody needs introducing to Gary himself after scoring as many as he has this season. I have no doubts over his form tonight. All in all, a very strong team but I can't help looking back at Pastore, Menez and Gameiro of PSG tonight and I think they may just come out on top tonight" Redknapp

"Thanks for that, Jamie. Now down to the commentators for kick-off of hopefully a very enjoyable game of football!" Keys

Carlos Peel Post-Match

"I can't believe it! Another fantastic, fantastic win. Not only getting the trophy, but the performance to do so by was absolutely brilliant! I can't thank the lads enough for this. We have the Scottish Cup Final on Sunday to go and win and then hopefully finish it all off with a win at Ibrox against our bitter rivals. The team have performed miracles tonight and it's been a fabulous run. I'm ecstatic. Cheers boys!"

As I sit here, with a chilled bottle of Ursus Premium in hand, I wonder where I'm headed next. Less than 24 hours ago, I was celebrating winning arguably the second biggest competitive club trophy with lads I've grown to become best friends with. Now, I sit here as a single man with just a beautiful view of Bucharest, alone. The lads have already headed back to Scotland for the game on Saturday. I was supposed to join them, but I couldn't. Since, I've had a flood of texts and calls but I haven't answered anything. I'm younger than 90% of those lads and I can't deal with it. I take another look at that last message from Amelia...

"I'm sorry Carl. I can't handle your football any more. I hope I see you do well.
I'm with someone else."

...and close my phone, again. Alone, 23 and yet manager of the Europa League champions. I have a big, big empty feeling inside right now. There is only one person I can call now- Niall.

***

After having a brief chat with Niall, he's convinced me to go back to Scotland for Saturday. I only have two competitive matches with them before my contract runs out so I might as well keep my dignity instead of running off now. Two high-pressure games, but after that I have no thoughts of continuing on my contract. I'll finish the season with Celtic, and after the Rangers match I'll inform them of my decision to leave. Niall said he'll look out for me, and he has. He said he'll look for something different for after Celtic. Hopefully it'll be good.

Our second cup in only four days. Brilliant play from the boys but I put on a brave face. I guess it's another trophy to write on my CV for when I leave. I could actually thank the players and fans so much for my time here, but I have other dreams and I hope they'll understand that when I leave.

Very proud of this. When I took over, we were around 9th and now we've taken it away from our rivals on the final day of the season at their home. I've won as much as I possibly could at my time at Celtic and I've already informed the board of my decision. I'll now begin to look for another club where the lifestyle will always be more enjoyable.

End of year awards

Manager of the year: Colin Calderwood. Finished a respectable 5th with no cash. I didn't make it into the top three, but I don't mind. Three good lads were chosen for the top three and I have no problems with any of them.

Player of the year: Paddy McCourt. Played brilliantly for me on the wings, setting up many of my goals. Totally agree with this, but so many of my other players could of also won.

Players' player of the year: Joe Ledley. Again, he played brilliantly for me all year and I'm very glad for the young lad. I can see him going on to much bigger things and I can only thank him for his contribution towards me and the club.

Top goalscorer: Gary Hooper. Absolutely no surprise there. Nobody could argue with him being second in 'Player of the year' after scoring 21 goals. Great lad, he will definitely be at the top in a few years.

Young player of the year: James Forrest. He's been such a good lad for me over the past 6-7 months. Never been over-confident and is so down to earth. Good lad to be around with some brilliant displays on the pitch. Great team player with excellent prospects.
