AI hoarding talents

so i installed fmrte to check if my signings are good/bad and how good my scouts really are. and i noticed that many top clubs like psg, juventus, arsenal etc. are hoarding massive young players with an PA over 170.. isnt it unfair that they kinda "know" what players are good or not?! this really turns me off playing this game knowing im getting fked after a couple of years... what u guys think about that?

Kinda normal though, unless you spot guys in Africa, South America, Central America before them chances are they will find the talented youngsters elsewhere. Remember they have the money to scout all of Europe with great detail over you.

You will also see them swoop in an buy players they have been monitoring when you make a bid for the player, because they've been watching him grow and you've sped up the process in relation to a transfer.
 
my scouting network is all over the world and apparently i barely find really good talents. while those clubs find players from thailand, zimbabwe or guatemala...

Are you sending scouts to those places?
 
not those countrys exactly but regions like south america, europe, east asia... and also countrys with a higher talent density like brazil, germany etc.

Go world sidebar click transfers then youth intake and manually search for the regens yourself. Common dates are usually early march for the big european leagues and december, Jan for South America. That way you can cherry pick the very best before the big sides scout them.

Agreed you gotta know the intake dates for some countries, like Mexico etc. They pump out talent and if you're on the ball with those dates you can cherry pick them all for next to nothing!
 
i will try that. but how can i be sure that these players are really good and not 4*+ potential but in the end they just have a PA of like 120?

When youve been playing fm as long as I have you kinda know which ones are duds and which one can be messi reborn. Anyway it takes long but if you wanna half the time and kinda cheat, you can download geniescout 16 and it will tell you the PA of the youngsters for specific countries along with sorting them out by age.

Theres nothing wrong with some guys having low PA, sometimes they're good players already that you can resell in a season or 2 for massive profit. PA isnt the be all, sometimes they players have already got good skills sets
 
i already downloaded fmrte to show me the ca/pa of my signings that i did over a couple of seasons and thats when i noticed how many talents with an PA of over 170 top clubs have.. i will try the thing with the intake date, maybe i can figure out how to spot a top talent.

im not all about getting every next super star in the game, i even did some very good buys/sells but for me its kinda annoying, seeing all those players at one club and if i make an offer for an 18yrs old with a good potential they want me to pay 40m+ ...

Look for important stats depending on the position they play. e.g a 15 yr old striker with say 13+ finishing, off the ball etc... Honestly its not that hard.
 
Heh, I see that the same happens in real life too, top clubs hoarding young and talented players :)
 
I'm noticing that young and talented players tend to choose top clubs over average clubs even if average clubs offer much bigger wage but it's kinda logical ;)
 
With regens, the thing I find from about 2019-onwards is that the ones who've been hoarded but haven't advanced as much as expected are available really cheap for a lower Prem side. Sometimes cheaper than they paid for him. Over a few saves I noticed this was especially true with Arsenal and Man City, and mostly with British and Irish regens.
