I'd like to ask for some advice on a specific player, as I have seen him mentioned in a few threads so I guess a few of you know him.

I play Alan Power as my holding midfielder at Rushden & Diamonds, but I can't get the best out of him at all.
I've tried criticising him on two occasions and he just says 'I don't think I've been playing badly', despite averaging 6.6 - 6.8 over 12 or so matches.
Whereas he's not CRUCIAL to my team, it seems a shame to let a talent go to waste like that.

Any ideas on what I can do to reap the benefits of his obvious ability?

Is this a good rule of thumb for players who don't think they're playing badly?

as i said it worked for me if it comes up again ill try it again

seems to do the trick. Strange though, I never get 'bad training' reports for the players I've tried it with. Does that mean it's a bit random?
