There is something seriously wrong with the ME this year, its not enjoyable at all, Ive played all the previous versions of FM months on end, and ive had this for a week and I cant get myself to play it anymore.
Its just does not feel rewarding at all.
1. I feel like i have very little influence on whats happening on the pitch.
2. When playing worse opposition and they park the bus, its just impossible to break down.
3. 99% of shots go off target.
4. In previous versions of FM, when you actually got that sweet through ball to your striker, you got so excited because you knew that now you had a big chance of scoring, I would get up from my chair and get ready to go "YEAAAAAH", or "OHHHHHHH".... Now I dont even get excited, because 90% of the time the striker with 17 finishing and great overall stats will either pass the ball straight to the keeper or blow it miles outside/over target.
Or, just as he fires, the ball kinda collides with the defender behind him and gets blocked.
5. Matches feel pre-decided, you can have 30 shots on target and they can have 2, yet you loose 2-0.
6. Everytime your team scores, the opposing team scores right after.
7. You can play leeds and destroy man city 3-0, and then go on a 8 game loosing streak vs cardif and worse.
8. Players on a great streak suddenly become absolutely worthless for the rest of the season.
9. Players will shoot from the dumbest angles even tho you set shoot less for all options, they play the ball outside the box with slow tempo and short passing, instead of playing that through ball they will go for a longshot with a defender right infront of them, or into the stadium.
10. Lets not forget the insane amounts of goals after 85 minutes.
At this point I dont even enjoy watching the matches, because all my team does is either completely dominate the opposition and win with stupid amounts of goals. Dominated the opposition, miss 5 clear chances and still loose 3-0.
It feels like im just hitting a few buttons, rolling the dice and begging for a good outcome.
And I'm a FM vet, played since CM98, love building tactics and really getting into the details on how my team plays, i spend hours on every tactic i make, checking every players abilities and making up an idea of how i want my team to play to take advantage of the best players. This year, it all feels totally random.
