Okaaaay, i have played fm manager games before, i usually start with a lower league team (Gateshead, Newport county etc). I once got Barnet into the champions league (tho' i think that was championship manager).
So i brought this game last week and for some reason i decided to start unemployed. The only job i could get was manager of Dorchester Town who, it has to be said, are spectacularily rubbish.
I have no money, no fans, players whose stats suggest that they need urgent medical attention (stamina =1, gets out of breath lacing his boots up!)
I have spent the last week getting hammered by the likes of Weston-super mare (i went there once - it rained). I got myself an assistant who is actually better at the job than i am and this is making me paranoid. I swear they are going to sack me and give him the job :O
I play the game to entertain myself... i think i must enjoy suffering
