I have played FM for a while now and i know it takes less than a week to find out all the best players in the game and etc. But i have this habbit, no matter what the team i choose to manage, i always like to keep it real. I dont spend 50m pounds on a star player (Dzeko, neymar etc etc) or to spend ridiculous amount of money to make my team full of world's best players.

I tend to keep the youth coming in, and i buy players suited to the league, English players in english league, spanish in liga bbva etc.

Just wondering, am i the only cook playing it like this? My friends all think im weird -_-

Each Manager plays there own way mate, if you enjoy playing like that, keep it going, there is nothing wrong with that :)

na mate i play like that. when playing as charlton i play the players we use in real life and refuse to sign anyone even when i have funds

The signature says different. (H)

I tend to rely on South American players for some reason. Will usually build a team full of them, probably as they have the best youth options.

That's a good idea about what you're doing and you're not the only one probably.

I enjoy buying unknown players and bringing through the youth players, its a very rewarding way of playing. I find FM far too easy otherwise.

ive just been well and truly owned havent i? :$

okay let me offer a revised version of my origonal statement:

UNLESS I HAVE MOVED UP TO A HIGHER LEVEL OF FOOTBALL, i play the players charlton play in real life, and refuse to buy players, even when i have funds.

that better? (A)

1 - Yes you have been totally owned

2 - Charlton has one of the best squads in league 1... so you dont need no one obviously.. There's no point in what you said (H)

Not at all. I play similarly too.

My biggest ever price tag for a player is 22 mil for Sandro (yes, I overpaid but I needed a good defensive midfielder). For most seasons, I only buy English players (youth and otherwise) 80% of the time since I am Middlesbourgh and I enjoy seeing the whole England team filled by my team players. Currently, only 7 English internationals in the squad. I am trying to get at least 11 in.

Depending what club im at I buy one big player each season (Aguero, De Rossi etc) and spend whatever is left over on youths

Not me. I tend to splurge like there's no tomorrow. I buy the Aguero-s, the Balotelli-s, the Neymar-s, etc. and donate half of them to smaller clubs as 'charity'-loans. (H)

Same here mate.

I rarely buy anyone with Newcastle first season apart from the odd unknown(ish) youth player. It's interesting. :)

For some reason I have a thing for South America,I send my best scouts there and most of players come from there

I am a bit of a transfer monster!!!! But I like younger exiting prospects, and normally in liga bbva

Got a transfer budget of about £80 million yet haven't signer anyone for 3 seasons, trying to bring through some of the academy talend, find it kinda more rewarding :P
