I guess I make it somewhat realistic. I don't like signing all the best wonderkids. People who make stories with championship sides and buy all the wonderkid bargains like Verratti is pointless imo, they might as well use genie scout.

If I buy the known wonderkids it'll be ones that fit my team. For example when I was at lyon, I'd buy the star french players - sakho, gourcuff etc.

And after the first 2 seasons mostly all my players will come from my youth and i'll always look to get players of the team's nationality.

I have played FM for a while now and i know it takes less than a week to find out all the best players in the game and etc. But i have this habbit, no matter what the team i choose to manage, i always like to keep it real. I dont spend 50m pounds on a star player (Dzeko, neymar etc etc) or to spend ridiculous amount of money to make my team full of world's best players.

I tend to keep the youth coming in, and i buy players suited to the league, English players in english league, spanish in liga bbva etc.

Just wondering, am i the only cook playing it like this? My friends all think im weird -_-

Now i've read this I'm going to play like that :L i do enjoy bringing youths through.

I'm managing Aston Villa at the moment and I'm only signing English players (been inspired to help the future of English football after the world cup hehe). It makes the game really challenging, especially as I like to play attractive football and England don't have many flair players.

I like to make gamble signings as I get a kick out of it, and with consecutive trophies season after season they seem to be good gambles, but there is always a down side to players who I've signed one summer, and sold them the next (Gatagov, landsbury to name a couple.) but most have paid off. By doing this, I really rely on my scouts and their opinions as to whether I sign them or not, and usually take a look at the age looking at the player.

I don't bring that many players through the ranks as they don't usually make my 25.

I like that way of playing. My Lyon story is in a similar mould, buying only players from France, although I do have some exceptions....

Nah i love realism... when i start a game i look at players rumoured to the club and only try to buy those... if i cant afford or they wont sell i dont buy anythin... realism makes the game :)

I'm always an English team as i have no knowledge of any other foreign leagues at all. So i always buy players which can speak fluent English and have high physical attributes :)

For some reason I have a thing for South America,I send my best scouts there and most of players come from there

Only brazil comes to my mind when the word south america is uttered. I wouldnt mind only buying south americans then, hahaha.

I play the game different depending on which team I'm managing. In one of my saves I play AC milan and in the beginning of that save I bought well known world class players, but know I do only buy youngsters in that save. But I also have a save were I play FC United and in that save I'm trying to only buy english players. so it all depends on which team I'm managing.

i try and sign players at the age of 22 and younger ...also try and sign some young scottish players like fraser fyvie, scott robinson , leigh griffths etc

Depending what club im at I buy one big player each season (Aguero, De Rossi etc) and spend whatever is left over on youths

Same as you mate, If I have the money I will try to buy a world renown player, and the rest regens and youth :)
