Manchester United Background and Start of Season expectations:
View attachment 143156View attachment 143157

I would suggest selecting Title challenge as you do not want to put uneccassy pressure on yourself in the first season, give yourself a season to settle in and let the players gel...

Media prediction for Manchester United is 2nd, this is easily obatinable and the board would not be too dissapointed if you only finish 4th, make sure you qualify for Europe however...

£14 million is your starting budget however adjusting your wage budget can get you around £20 million. I suggest leaving the wage budget as is as you have £508 million in debt...

Manchester United Facilities and Club overview:
View attachment 143158View attachment 143159

Manchester United boast one of the best training facilities in the country and their training ground is known as Carrington. United have a sound youth facilities and a youth academy which has produced some great players over the years such as David Beckham, Sir Ryan Giggs to name but a few...

The ground has undersoil heating installed while the pitch & stadium are both in very good condition.

Manchester United Tactics and training:

View attachment 143165View attachment 143166

Manchester United suit a good old fashioned 4-4-2 as they have an abundance of good natural attacking wide players...
I developed this 4-4-2 tactic specifically for United, the file can be downloaded from the attachment below:
View attachment 145200

I have developed my own training schedules which I use, they are quite basic, but are quite effective.. below is the attachement. (includes 3 youth schedules as well)
View attachment 143169

Other good training schedules are Duncs training and Kevymatts training.

If you want to free up some extra cash, try offloading one of the 15 or so Scouts, you do not need so many, some are poor as well and will not be missed in the slightest!

United have a good setup when it comes to staff members, however their Coaches and 1st team coaches are lacking a bit in quality...

Fire all the deadwood that you feel do not offer anything to the training and hire in good coaches, I strongly suggest the ones that I have brought in, as well as Omar Fetiosa as a fitness coach...

Mike Phelan is a good Assistant Manager, however, after a season or two, see if he will accpet a Coaching role and look to bring in a quality Assistant Manager:

I suggest the following:

1) Martin Keown
2) Manual Delgado Meco
3) Quintiliano Lemos Filho

There are three Youth Coaches that need to be promoted from Youth coaches to Coaches, this is a must as there are more youth coaches than 1st team coaches.. this is an essential part for the future of your training...

Staff Promotion:
Paul McGuiness, Brian Mclair. Warren Joyce

Staff List:

4* or greater coach list

Manchester United Squad:

View attachment 143186

Manchester United have one of the better squad's in the Premier League, they profit from having a good scouting network and a handful of talented youngsters.. However there are a couple of position replacements that need to be taken into account..

United suffer in the height deparment in the 1st season, if you feel that this is an issue, look to bring in a few big boys like Necid as suggested below...

Suggested Transfers 2010/2011:

View attachment 143179

Here is the Transfer History for the first season at United, I have concentrated a lot on youth as my Reserve team is an important part of the setup here, there are alot of good players that can tutor the youngsters as well...

For training and Tutoring, read the following:

The Complete How to train/tutor my youngster's Thread
5 Considerations when sending a young player out on loan

Goalkeepers:

View attachment 143182
(from left to right)
Anders Lindegaard, Tomasz Kuszczak, Edwin Van Der Saar

I would suggest not spending too much money this season as you do not have that much to spend, Edwin and Anders are good enough for the season, I brought in Renan for a Wonderkid rotation, he is a quality keeper:

Edwin is still a fantastic keeper and a great tutor, he is still more than good enough for the 1st season!

I suggest looking at the following:

Renan - Avai
Onur Kivrak - Trabzonspor

Defenders:

View attachment 143185
(from left to right)
Wes Brown, Rio Ferdinand, Fabio Da Silva, Nemanja Vidic
View attachment 143183
(from left to right)
John O'Shea, Patrice Evra, Jonny Evans
View attachment 143184
(from left to right)
Chris Smalling, Rafael Da Silva

United have arguably the best defence in the League with Rio and Nemanja in the centre and Evra on the left. The only real problem area is at Right back, however, Rafael is a brilliant player and has bags of potential while John O'Shea and Wes Brown provide good cover and are alot more defensive than the attacking Rafael...

Chris and Jonny are quality players (especially Chris in this 11.3 update)

Please note:
Davide Santon - Inter Milan can be picked up for free in Jan, he does not ask for exorbitant wages or anything... this is a must!

I suggest looking at the following for the Right Back area:

Jonathan - Cruziero
Mariano - Fluminense
Vasilis Torisidis - Olympiakos

Midfielders:

View attachment 143187
(from left to right)
Darren Fletcher, Paul Scholes, Michael Carrick, Owen Hargreaves
View attachment 143189
(from left to right)
Anderson, Nani, Antonio Valencia, Park Ji Sung
View attachment 143188
(from left to right)
Ryan Giggs, Gabriel Obertan, Darren Gibson

United possess naturally talented Wingers in Nani and Valencia, Giggs is still as strong as ever and Obertan is a good replacement if you do not want to spend money, however, he is injured and you may need a replacement as Nani and Valencia are both susceptible to injuries...

In the centre United are strong, a replacement for Scholes is needed, this is where I suggest you spend alot of your cash in strengthening your squad!
Carrick and Fletcher are too good workmen in the centre while Carrick possess the skills to play the killer ball. Scholes is Scholes, he is best used in important matches and in short runs as he is getting on a bit and wont be effective if tired...

Anderson is a great midfielder if used correctly, he starts off injured but will be back in a couple of months so will Hargreaves... I normally try and sell Carrick, however, he had injured himself recently...

I had just bought Danny - Zenit for cover for the midfield (he plays all over the mid and Accomplished in all positions) he is a must buy at 7.25 million from Zenit! played 10 scored 3 and assisted 3 :)

Carrick Replacement:

Jordan Mutch - Birmingham

View attachment 143202View attachment 143203

Do not offer Giggs and Scholes new contracts, VDS is retiring, so dont worry about him.

I suggest looking at the following for the Centre Mid area:

Alexandre Coeff - Rc Lens
Necip Uysal - Besiktas
Tinga - Palmeiras
Jucilei - Corinthians
Nuri Sahin - Dortmund
Ricardo Montolivo - Fiorentina
Kwadwo Asamoah - Udinese
Markus Henriksen - Rosenborg
Gylfi Sigurosson - Hoffenheim
Cheikou Kouyate - Anderlecht
Danny - Zenit

Strikers:

View attachment 143191
(from left to right)
Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez, Dimitar Berbatov, Michael Owen, Frederico Macheda
Danny Welbeck

Wayne Rooney is by far the best player in your squad, alot of people seem to have problems in getting consistent performances out of Berbatov, the tactic linked above will hopefully provide you with good performances.
Chicharito is a goal scoring machine, I suggest teaching him the "places shots in corner of net" PPM and the "attack through the centre" PPM

Michael Owen is a good backup for the time being, he is HG which is a bonus and can be used to tutor some of the younger strikers, play him correctly and he is a wonderful poacher.

Welbeck and Mechada are both on loan for the season, so this would do them well as they both have a lot of potential...

I suggest that you retrain Wayne Rooney to AMC, not AML, I feel that he is better there as Berbatov and Chicho make a great partnership upfront and this will also save you money in buying a quality replacement for Ryan Giggs as United need all the money they can to pay off their debts...

I suggest looking at the following:

Lucas Gaucho - Sau Paulo (3.7 million relause clause)
Peniel Mlapa - Hoffenheim
Idriss Saadi - St Ettiene
Thiago Ribeiro - Cruizero
Tiago Alves - Santos
Rogelio Funes Mori - River
Tomas Necid - CSKA

most of the players I have suggested are youngsters, take a look at who I brought in, the likes of Mutch, Hodson etc are great young UK players...
you can bring in whoever you like of course, but United have a great lineup already and bringing in too many "older" players will disrupt the harmony, young players do not pose threats to the senior players when first signed... keep that in mind :)

Finances:

As mentioned earlier, United are in a financial spiral due to the amount of debt that is owed thanks to the Glaziers...
I suggest keepin spending on new players as low as possible and only buy where necessary, keep an eye on contracts, all the added extra's and goal bonuses etc..
View attachment 143227View attachment 143228

Boardroom:

Ask for a new feeder club for increasing scouting network, nothing else as they will decline you.

You can ask them to increase your scouting netowork, however, at this stage, the finances are precarious and with my help (if you want it) I will find you much better players anyway...

I asked for more coaches to be able to specialize better in certain training area's, do this, it will be granted...

They will not give you anymore money for any requested transfers and are extrememly stubborn when it comes to coaches and staff, do what I mentioned earlier and this will not be an issue...

Goals for the 1st season:

1) Win a cup, especially try for the F.A Cup
FA-Cup-Logo.jpg

2) Try and get as far as you can (of course) in the Uefa Champions league as every time you win, you receive 625k and the more T.V income you generate which will be your saving grace in paying off this debt....

3) You are going to need a new 1st team keeper and a new centre back at the end of the season!
save up as much money as you can for this...

4) put all the extra money you have in your wage budget, at the end of December after my great results, the board asked me change my expectations, I still chose Title Challenge but they gave me an extra 25 million...
I used 13million for Igor Akinfeev, sold Valencia for 12.5million to Zenit and signed another 1 or two youngsters (got Ashley Young for a straight swap with Obertan as well)
I put all that extra cash into my wage budget...

Take a look at some of these players:

Cb:

Mario Fernandes - Gremio
Raphael Varane - RC Lens
Davide Astori - Cagliari
Mamadou Sakho - PSG
Salvatore Bochetti - Rubin
View attachment 143205

Gk:

Igor Akinfeev - CSKA
Sebastian Frey - Fiorentina
Juan Pablo Carrizo - River Plate

Dont really see why it matters anyway if you quote the OP, doesn't really affect anyone.

you can now download the actual save if you want :) link is in the OP!!

I asked the board if they would sign Vucinic and they said they would sort it out. Got him for £21.5m. Him and Hernandez up front will be lethal, going to offload Owen and use Berbatov as a back up, Rooney is scoring like a machine from left wing without even having been fully trained to that position, albeit they are only friendlies, but still promising!
