They might have used your email ID entered while downloading the TT.

I doubt it as a mate of mine downloaded it and then forwarded it to me by email. I did not download the TT myself. Strange.

I have had an email although I am nothing to do with FM-Britain :O

I guess we will just have to disagree with the first point. I feel that if someone thinks that his/her time and effort in making an in-depth guide requires some compensation in order to keep other such guides etc coming and free, they are entitled to do so. I probably won't buy it, but I will surely enjoy the free stuff that comes along. Those who wish to buy the priced guide or just want to support the author can do so. I don't see how someone being an ex-footballer etc makes it more right, though it does increase its credibility.

I see where you are coming from, I really do but they are making those guides on there own accord, nobody is asking them to

It’s the same with those who create some of the amazing database’s or updates, it’s all done on your own because you want to share something with the scene.

Regardless of how well the guides are, I think it’s pretty sucky that they are looking to be paid for them.

TT&F was a great tactical guide which must have helped a lot of users and I do not doubt that the people who make them know there stuff, however they have really went overboard with the aftermath of it all and I think that is what’s getting everyone riled up.

I agree with you though, everyone grabs there torches and pitch forks when things like this happen without really reading into what they are protesting.

TBH im not too bothered. No offence to FM Britain but i think the TT&F is a little over rated. Yes they put alot of work into it but its usually redundant after a few weeks as people get used to the game or simply use someone else's tactics.

The guys at FM Britain have made the mistake of believing their own hype and got greedy with it.

I did say a while back after listening to the FM podcast that Miles and SI were furious with them for charging for help.

just been reading the main thread over at SI forums, and FM britain are getting a lot of backlash from the general community, it seems a considerable amount of users dont like the way they were effectively slinging mud at SI with that email.

FM Britain have now emailed everyone SI's response, with the headline 'read into it what you will.'

Obviously feeling some pressure after only choosing to present their side of the story in the first email.

the whole twitter thing has seriously undermined them as well, since it showed the true colours of some of the people there

Can I just bump this, I was reading this over again

What exactly is FM affiliates Fantasy Football League?

What exactly is FM affiliates Fantasy Football League?

It's just a private league on the PremierLeague.com fantasy football for website owners who are part of the Football Manager Affiliate Scheme.
