Yes it just means that you posted something that has been posted many times before.

If you look on the rules page it gives you some information on the warning/banning system.

A duplicate thread/post means a thread already exists which you should have searched for before posting or infact in your case a sticky already exists so you didnt even need to search.

Its nothing to do with you personally posting the message more than once
