im athletic bilbao and when i try and bid for certain players such as kara , guillermo burdisso and more , this message appears '' Athletic are not aloud to sign non Basque players '' ..


Anyone know wat this means and if you can change it ..

It means you cannot sign players who do not have Basque nationality.

You can't change it in game and I don't think you can in the editor either.

Didn't you know that when you chose to manage Bilbao? They only play with Basque player. So it's mostly down to your youth to get you more players, although there are a few other clubs producing basque regens. In game Azpilicueta I think is the best basque player you don't already have.

Basically, its a region in spain. And only people who are born there or a decendant of someone born there can play for them.

Kind of the equivalent of a welsh team only having welshmen or the decendants of welshmen as players.

Yup... Managed them in older versions.

Only players from Basque Country - Usually Northern Spain / Southern France but some other foreigners may have dual.

Some good players around that aren't at Bilbao;

Arteta,
Forlan,
Xabi Prieto
Aduritz,
Raul Garcia,
Ruffier.
