Hi, This is my interpretation of Menotti's world cup winning side of 1978.

Normally it is described as a 433 formation but I think Mario Kempes' role is more accurate as AMC.

GK : (Fillol) - Sweeper Keeper defend player instructions: Distribute to specific teammate, Roll it out, Distribute quickly

DR : (Olguin) - Full Back support : Stay wider

DCR : (Galvan) - Central defender defend : Mark tighter, Pass it shorter

DCL : (Passarella) - Ball playing defender cover : Shoot more often
DL : (Tarantini) - Full back support : Stay wider

MCR : (Ardiles) - Box to box midfielder Support : Dribble more, Close down more, Pass it shorter, Move into channels
MCL : (Gallego) - Central midfielder defend : Tackle harder, Mark tighter, Pass it shorter
AMR : (Bertoni) - Winger attack : Close down more, Cross aim centre
AMC : (Kempes) - Attacking midfielder attack : Close down more, Roam from position
AML : (Ortiz) - Winger attack : Close down more, Cross aim centre
SC : (Luque) - Deep lying forward support : Shoot more often, Roam from position, Close down much more

I have tried this tactic with Genoa in serie A and Paderborn in Bundesliga. I wouldn't say it's a wonder-tactic
but it makes for entertaining football similar to the original inspiration. I haven't used it exclusively for a whole season because I usually change tactics now and then but this one I've come back to when others failed.

Anyway, I hope someone will try it out and see how it works out.
