argh my tatics do not work :(

right, will im playing as tranmere rovers on fm 2011 handheld for itouch. iv tried the 442 attacking tactic and although i did get pleasing results pre season against opposition higher than me, since the season start iv had mostly draws and losses.

currently im useing a 41212 formation.

so yea the 442 attacking tactic doesnt work, normal 443 doesnt, and 41212 kinda works.

i'm crawley town at the mo, in my fourth season, in league 1. i started with 442 attacking in blue square bet, it worked fine, i won most of the matches (ended up as league winners). thats probably cuz i had 2 pacey wide men who were my best players.

got into league 2, then i waz like u, except i tried 433 and that worked fine - basically i put my wide men out of position i.e up front, they played decent. as u go higher up the leagues the quality of opponents do get better so i thought lets pack the midfield.

the tactics do matter as well. i set mine to balanced mentality, short passing, commited tackling, pressing on, offside trap off, counter attack off, men behind ball off.
