I had a similar tactic with West Ham in FM10 and had some success.
I will try this tactic with Stoke.. although i will give it time before rating it as Stoke have a lot of 'limited' players i need to phase out

You should definitely add a list of players who are suitable for each role, to make it easier for people who want to perfect your tactic with the right players. Players under 8m would probably be best. I've been using the tactic myself and it's been going very well. I can't exactly pick the right players (national side) but I've tried to account for it and I am unbeaten in about five games.

Yes over the next week I am going to compile a list of suitable players for each role for the starting season. That's my next plan!

I don't see why this would not work off the top of my head, a decent squad for the roles. What's your best 11?

Above are the screen shots of my season just finished. Unbeaten in the league, 108 points and the draws came after I had already secured the league so I was playing a few young Sammarinese players. 1 defeat the whole season, against Panathinaikos 1-0 using a reserve team after we'd already secured top spot in the group stages - was dissappointed!

Overall, my best season on FM13 I don't expect to have such a successful season next season, as I am going to start to phase in more Sammarinese players and want to use at least 5 more regularly (had successful loan periods this season).

You're a true FM journeyman Was it first season? I'm in pre-season at the moment, been given 40mil to spend but doubt i will spend it. Time to give the San Marino youngster a chance.

yes it was with andorra but im just about to start my 3rd with rangers will start my first season with sanmarino at some point

i'll try this with some of additional leagues (moldova,bosnia,azerbaijan...),then post results after 2,3 seasons...
seanhrfc you said that it is important to have 6/8 att. from filters? for lower leagues is it enough 12+ att?

ML Downing and Assaidi
ST Falcao, Sturridge, Suarez and Coutinho

Carragher retired, Jones asked for more minutes, Didac ended is loan period and Borini didn't perform that good. Wisdom and Robinson come from loan, Ospina enter for free and a personal choice was Falcao. Think he will do very well in the AF position.
Think "less changes, better results". Let's see what the future brings

When it comes to lower league i think its important to be realistic, as long as a player isn't weak in several attributes important for the tactic and you rate his overall ability, he should do well. Let me know how it goes.

Would love to see how falcao does in this, got all the attribute for either striker role but with Suarez in there I reckon the AF is the best choice. Hopefully he'll help you win the champions league

Well, first match in the pre season (some weak team in USA) and scores 3 goals and got 1 assist. If will be always like this, guess it will be a very successful for him and for us. Haha.

He's very similar to my Chinese striker in terms of attributes - though my re-gens better now! He's scoring over a goal a game now.

How many games played? Is the tactic fluid? I've never had a problem defensively, are you working on defensive positioning in training?
