Since introducing Biereth into the squad, I have been very impressed with how quickly Mika has adapted to our way of playing which has resulted in a very good return of 0.70 per game.
He has been 'clutch' in big games such as scoring in UCL and FA Cup finals. I certainly feel Mika is ahead of development and has responded brilliantly to high-pressure situations.
As the head of the spear in attack, I see Biereth as our main Striker for the foreseeable future.
Should Arsenal not purchase any reinforcements IRL, then I am likely to re-sign a player I have sold. (Please reference Rule #4)
As I am quite thin in central midfield, I am tempted to bring back Matteo Elias Kenzo Guendouzi Olié
With a release clause of £20m, he will provide much needed depth in midfield to cover the likes of Lokonga and Smith-Rowe when the fixtures start to get congested.
Matteo and I had a few fallouts which led to the £17.5m sale to Spartak Moscow 2 seasons ago. Thus, I will need to manage him constantly and provide more games than the one season we worked together.
Should the deal go through, I have no doubts he will be a valuable asset for the squad, will have a few tantrums I am sure - but will prove to be a good member of a successful squad
Quite satisfied with our current abilities of the squad, with such youth amongst it, there is certainly room to develop the players.
Potential Ability
The abilities go up quite a lot as many of the younger players have excellent ceilings to evolve the team to higher levels. But this is with the current First team squad, the ability in the reserves is quite extraordinary.
The potential of the youth crop is elite, as I plan to manage for 10 years - the squad level will likely be one of the best in Europe.
Following Rule #2, I have matched the purchase of Auston Trusty. However I have purchased the American from Leeds United.
The versatility that Trusty offers will be very valuable for the team during a long campaign. Should he perform well, I will not hesitate to give him a run of games.
The initial thinking with Trusty is to have him battling with Tomiyasu for the RB position. He will also provide good cover at CB should any of the three premiums be absent.
With his tendencies I am excited to see how Auston fits into the side and link with the likes of Saka on the right of the pitch.
Business concluded for the summer transfer window. Possibly too much selling of valuable assets, but wanted to give the likes of Rekik and the signing of Trusty the chances to develop.
Decided against re-signing Gunedouzi as I want to give Rekik the opportunity to be cover for the DLP position.
At 23 years old, the Tunisian needs to start getting the opportunities and feel part of the squad. He is also quite versatile should we get injuries in defence.
A steady start to the season, to be expected considering the mass changes made in the summer.
Top performers so far...
Average Rating
Of course just the start, but the defensive assets performing so far, Saliba is strongly making a case to be in the XI. However, the White-Gabriel partnership has been formidable since I started the save.
Goals
Similar to Saliba, Nelson is making huge steps to breaking into the best XI as he is constantly passing the eye-test with his performances and backing that with solid returns.
Assists
Odegaard of course top as usual. ESR will be interesting to track as this will be his first full season as a BBM in central midfield.
With the inclusion of 3 x regen players, I am satisfied with the numbers we have in the first team squad.
With 12 of the 25 players aged 25 or under, the future is still very bright for development and the continuation of on-pitch success. The "Front 5" could possibly be the selection for the next 5-6 seasons as more players develop in the youth academy.
The 3 x regens also have excellent stats and could be making a breakthrough during the season:
Juan Micha
Juan is a player that I am training to be an RB but will likely be 4th choice CB at the sacrifice of Ballard for next season.
Dare Olaniyan
Dare actually had a few appearances last season and was very lively. He is being groomed to replace Pepe in the next 1-2 seasons and very exciting player for the future.
Finlay Piper
Finlay is the jewel of all the regens, I have already rejected offers from Liverpool, Barcelona and Inter Milan. I have no doubts he will be an elite performer in the near future. The challenge is to keep him motivated to stay in the side and will replace Partey in the squad (likely next season).
A very good September as we maintain our unbeaten start to the season in the PL. Excellent to start the UCL as Champions and a solid away win @ Leverkusen.
Followed on from last season to stay 9 unbeaten, key to just get points on the board despite not playing at the highest level yet.
Goals
Surprising to have Saka top of the scoring charts but he needs to start stepping up with the goal returns this season. With just a focus on PL since taking over as Arsenal manager, he has slowly been progressing with goals, but I feel he can beat his 11 of last season.
Quite disappointed with the Carabao elimination, bar that a really good month once again. The play is quality of play is starting to pickup now which is evident with the amount of goals scored.
UCL qualification pretty much set now, thus can rotate a little to keep the momentum going in the PL.
Goals
Biereth & Martinelli picking up the returns in October, they're the key scorers if we want to be successful this season.
Assists
Odegaard top per usual, but Patino has been excellent every time he has had to feature. 2 more years and likely in the first XI.
The attributes are there for Charlie to become an elite player, just need to give him game time in the right moments to keep the squad fresh.
