Assistant manager won't handle contract renewals

I started as arsenal and i am now in my second season and have asked pat rice to handle contract renewals however he doesnt seem to be doing it, i was just wondering will he do it before their contracts completely run out or will he do it some months before because it is getting close to january and a few key players are up for contract renewals and im not sure if i should offer them myself or wait for pat rice to do it.

You've left him in charge. If he think the players aren't up to scratch he wont offer him a new deal. I would highly advise you to take care of contracts yourself.
