Right so a mini update for you today, unfortunately I am working a 12 hour shift so I am unable to update properly with screenies etc.

I have almost finished the season, 2 games left but nothing to play for. So i will play them tonight and delete the italian legaue tonight and add my next destination.

I am still undecided as to where to go. So I am looking for your suggestions.

I will be looking to take over another fallen giant and look to emulate my sucess with Milan with them. The options are; Spain, Germany or France. I do not want to manage in England yet. I played countless seasons in England over the last few fm's and I am wanting this save to be a bit different. I may well finish the save in England however.

Due to my rubbish laptop I cannot predict which teams are struggling as their leagues aren't currently running so it is potluck who I will end up with as I will have to apply for the job only if it is available.

So just leave a comment stating which league you want to see the Scottish Mourinho in next. Depending on what time I get in tonight I may also be able to provide the update for the current season also.

Cheers

Lyon used to be good a while back. Valencia or Athletico are decent options in Spain too. Bayer Leverkusen could be a good option too for a German team. In England maybe try getting Arsenal or Liverpool a league title?

:)

Italian cup Campaign 2014/15

View attachment 454653

Due to the World Club Championships and a ridiculous amount of injuries this cup slipped way down in my list of priorities. A simple victory saw us enter into the draw for the quarter final.

View attachment 454650
The hardest draw we could get and although we took the lead Juventus were better than us today. THe first competition during my reign where we did not win the cup.

Champions League Campaign 2014/15

As last years winners we were 1st seeds in our group and we didn't have to play qualifiers.

View attachment 454648

The first European home game during my reign where we were not victorious. Would these dropped points cost us?

View attachment 454647
Our first away European victory. A season of firsts!

View attachment 454646

Like buses you wait for one and then two come along. Ourselves and Lyon ar a cut above the other two teams in this group.

View attachment 454645
This victory put us on 10 points out of 12. Qualification assured with 2 games to spare.

View attachment 454644

If you have been reading this story you will know my Ballotelli woes. If he could score this season could of been alot better.
View attachment 454642
4 wins and 2 draw is normally a successful champ league group campaign but this is how the league turned out.
View attachment 454641

So for 2 years in a row Lyon pip me to first in the group. Last year it proved to be a good omen but my gut told me that those dropped points on matchday 1 would cost us.

Champions League Campaign 2014/15
Continued

View attachment 454639
We got off to a terrible start but then settled into the game and found an equaliser. The sending off on 50 mins made it a long second half and just when I thought we would holdout for a draw Isco scored to break Milan hearts. We would need at least 2 in the Bernabeu to go through.

View attachment 454637
The European dream ended we went 2 down early but were still in the game. The sending off killed it and over 2 legs we played 85 mins with 10 men. We never stood a chance.

I can't help but thinking that Matchday 1 was our downfall though. We should be beating teams like Lyon at home.

Serie A Campaign 2014/15

After a disapointing Cup and Champions league campaign combined with my earlier decision to leave Milan at the end of season I was detemined to win the Scudetto again. Also I was frankly embarrassed at winning the league with only 71 points so I wanted to better that.

View attachment 454632

So we won the league fairly comfortably without having to play at our actual best. I was happy with a 13 point improvement and I believe that I have left Milan in a much better state than I found them. Financially I made a 100 mil profit over the 2 years and players like Kaka and Mexes are leaving in the summer saving over 300k a week. The team has a solid core of young talent and apart from a few signings to provide depth the new manager should be able to afford one marquee signing per season to improve the team.

I am going to quit Milan and change the nation I will be playing in and apply for any available jobs. I will reveal my team once I have accepted the job.

Just a quick update to say that the first post in the thread has been edited to reflect the shift in the story.

Who you going to be then!?

TBA lol. I only just finished the season and I am still undecided which nation to load up. I should be playing tonight and will finalise my decision then. Sill open to suggestions as to which nation to choose! Remember I won't get to pick the team I will have to wait until a job becomes available

Brilliant story, you should try with France with Lyon/Marseille.

SO I loaded the game up and then split it into 3 seperate games.

Game 1: Germany
First job offered Borussia Monchengladbach
Game 2: France
First job offered Olympique Lyonais
Game 3: Spain
first job offered Malaga

Which game should I progresss with????

Bring back the greatness of Lyon!

Or enjoy tons of money at Malaga. :P

Do Malaga have money on this game? Thought they went a bit **** up not so long back haha.

Lyon would be decent too

3 good options to be fair!

Borussia 11.5 mil
Malaga 3.5 mil
Lyon 300k.

I'm leaning towards Lyon myself but PSG are a juggernaut. Would be very hard to topple. I looked at all the squads and none of them are that great or that bad tbf.

Lyon are in the middle of a injury crisis. Only 3 fit defenders. All the injuries for at least 6-7 weeks.

will decide by tonight as I expect to play some of it then.

keep up the suggestions

Stewart ends his sabbatical and takes over under acheiving Lyon.

With Twelve league games played in this years Ligue 1 campaign and with Lyon down in thirteenth position with 14 points out of a possible 36. They trail runaway leaders PSG by a massive 17 points. Stewart will really have to utilise all of his tactical nous to turn this around

Squad Overview

Goalkeepers

Yohan Thuram-Ulian 27 year old

A solid enough number 1, Is currently out injured for 3 months and will ideally be replaced in the summer with a more reliable pair of hands.

Ali Ahamada 24 year old

Again a solid enough number 2 but also starts out injured (6 weeks). Added bonus is he can actualy lay outfield in a variety of postitions; which I have never seen before in FM.

Ridha Ben-Khaled 18 year old

Never played a senior match but is my only fit goalkeeper. Will have to come up big if Lyon are to start moving in the right direction up Ligue 1.

FullBacks

Garry Bocally 27 year old RB

A good fullback/wingback who will be undoubted first choice. Is currently injured and is out for 10 weeks.

Milan Bisevac 32 year old, RB/CB

A solid squad player who is also currently injured(12 weeks)

Bryan Oviedo, 25 year old LB/LWB

A good attacking wingback. The first non EU player in my squad which means his days might be numbered if I can get better non EU quality. My only fit full back.

Farid Chellali, 28 year old LB/CB

A more solid option than Oviedo but not as good going forward. Also starts injured (5 weeks)

Centrebacks

Bakary Kone 26 year old CB

A solid but limited Defender. I am so short in defense that he is going to play alot.

Willeme Louis 18 year old CB

A promising centreback. My only other designated centreback so he will get a lot of playing time. Sorting out the defense will be one of my main priorities.

Centre Midfielders

Maxime Gonalons 26 year old DM (current club Captain)

A cultured "water carrier" Maxime is going to be a vital part of our success. Unfortunately I don't plan on using DM's so a quick retraining to CM will be required to get the most from him.

Markus Henriksen 26 year old CM

A solid DLP. Will get alot of games especially while Gonalons learns to play the same position.

Gueida Fofana 25 years old, CM

A good ball winner and midfield general. Will be important in breaking up play and recycling possession.

Massimilano Moschetti 18 year old, CM

Raw Potential. If nurtured properly could be a true star.

Portu 23 year old CM

A spanish def midielder, not very good. Hopefully won't be here too long

Arnold Mvuemba 30 year old, CM

Not very good. Will be sold

Attacking Midfielders/Wingers

Ryan Babel 27 year olf, LW/ST

Ex Liverpool. Ryan is pacey but not the best technician. I played a Left sided IF in my Milan tactic and Ryan is ideally suited to that role.

Nicolas Gaitan 26 year old LW/AM

A technically gifted left winger. We currently have a lack of creativity in the forward areas. Nicolas will play one in from his favoured postions on the left wing and playin the hole and I hope his creativity will allow us to retain possession and score freely

Alexander Lacazette 24 year old RW

A converted striker who now prefers to play on the wing. Sort of a French Theo Walcott although not quite as fast but much better on the ball. In a bit of deja vu I wanted to play 2 IF's while at Milan but couldn't as I didn't have a left footer comfortable on the right wing so I had to play 1 IF on the left and a RW on the right. Same here.

Jonas Gutieraz 32 yer old LW

I actually played from October to start of Jan before I realised he was here. Workmanlike stats. He'll put in a shift but not amaze any one. Plucked out the reserves to provide much needed cover. Wish I had noticed him sooner as I have played some players WAY out of position and he could of helped cover

Strikers

Lacina Traore 25 year old ST

A monster of a man standing at over 2m tall. Well suited to being a targetman but not the best on the deck. A player I like but not the best suited to the style of play I want to impose on the team. Will be back up until I can get better

Tim Matavz 26 year old ST

A typical 7/10 player. Solid stats but none spectacular. With only playing with 1 ST and having better options means his time here is limited. Worth 7.5mil so I will definetly be cashing in.

Yassine Benzia 24 year old St

A very promising poacher means Yassine will play alot. I am also retraining him to play on either wing as we are drasticaly short in those positions

Mid Season Update

As I mentioned I toook over Lyon after 12 league games and a staggering 17 potins behind. After a further 11 games and winning 10 and drawing 1 (PSG away) we have risen to 4th and are now 9 points behind leaders Monaco. We really need to finish at least 3rd so we have champions league football next season.

The squad limped towards the start of January and I did some wheeling and dealing selling approx 16 mil worth of talaent ans spending just over 15. THe squad has much more depth in the right places and I'm hoping for big things from Paredes.

I can't stress how important Champions league football is going to be to topple the rich clubs. I follow stories on this forum to and whilst following Coolmccool's journeyman save I saw him get a whopping 150 mil to spend so I'l need to be at my best to win against that level of spending power
