Aston Villa Help Me!

Hey. I'm controling Aston Villa at the moment but none of my tactics seem to be working.
I would like to play 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 (4-1-2-2-1) but none of the tactics i download seem to be working. Maybe it because i play with the 10.0 version. I sold Heskey and bought Gignac and Capoue so i have now got some decent players.
If anyone got any idea of a great tactic so please help.

a really pointless and idiotic comment, the best way to learn how to make good tactics is using guides around the site, basically i use the team instructions help which can be found in this thread, it really helped me sort out my tactics, im not a huge 4-4-2 fan but team instruction ideologies are the same for most formations
