Astonmatu : We had catalogue of offers and bids. None of them interested me. Other clubs wanted to sign our best players for candy money. Yes ROBINHO was really close of moving away from us to German side Leverkusen, but in the last second it was clear that they just couldnt afford the transfer fee. It was all together 16 Million £ + other bonuses what could of rised it up to 17,5 Million £. First offer was 6,5 Million and I was able to gamble it up to that

Astonmatu : First game in August and this is total destruction. We were in superb form and America fighting against relegation.

Astonmatu : At first half I thought after Robinhos goal referee wants to take 3 points away from us. Fortunately our GK JEAN and the hole team survived in that hellhole. EGIDIO was sent off for foul that he didnt commited. Gremio player simulated and referee acted without thinking. I was furious. The high and quality pressure that came after that from GREMIO was impressive. Just a hole bunch of luck saved us and LEANDRO secured with 2 goal very valuable win. Referee Alves Silva should get fined for that kind of refereeing. I know their job is difficult, but these rushed decisions are not welcomed.

Astonmatu : Against BOCA first game in their home as visitors was such an headache. They dominated the game. GK Jean saved us like 3-6 goals. 3 were clear cut chances. We made a draw 1 : 1 but it was more like a victory then. In home fortress we easily won the game 2 : 0 and there were no doubts who was better.

Astonmatu : I think its the first month were our conceded goals reached more than 1. So defense is below par. DC-s are performing under their abilities. I cant blame them because they have played almost without a rest Nathan 51 games, Thiago Martins 45 games and Xandao 39 games. Next season I have to bring in some quality Brazilian DC. 1 or 2 are already on my mind, but they are very expensive. And of course there is Araab. He is still not ready for 90 minutes games against top clubs. Too error prone. He played in 21 games and most of them as a substitute.

Astonmatu : 26 year old AMC DUDU was one of the best players in PALMEIRAS last season. He is playing close to hes full potential and SLB offered us 10 Million £ + 2 in future fees. I gathered my staff together and we discussed several hours what should we do and how shall we go forward if we sell him. There were many prose and cons, but after all as a manager I decided to freshen team up with quality youngster who could be better than DUDU and at the same time would be already near to hes potential. So we needed the cash and our star midfielder packed hes bags and went to Portugal. We had a long chat with DUDU and he was even happy to try out something new. New culture, new people, new targets and new life. Good luck master.

Astonmatu : Really inspiring signing. Yeah I was after LINCOLN but hes price tag was at least 6,5 times heftier. LINCOLN is already established himself as a certain first team member in GREMIO squad and hes skills are deadly. Almost World Class, next season or maybe even in summer he will be leaving Brazilian First division to big European club. But something about our new WONDERKID Matheus Pereira. I know that CORINTHIANS didnt want to let him go so I used the Minimum fee release clause. It was 7,25 Million £ and I had no doubt when I used it. Pereira is very close to DUDUs abilities and hes potential is way better. Just look at hes skills.

If you believe it or not there was Mario Götze standing and waiting for bids in free transfer market. I send him a email invited him to Brasil, but with respect he rejected all my approuches.To be honest we cant afford him anyway. Sunzu salary 140k £ per month is already a crazy deal, but Götze probably wants 1 Million £ per month or even more.

Astonmatu : They are very young and have a chance to prove them in Reserve and Youth League. Kaue is so good that he even might get to the substitute chair and some playing tima. We dont have many good strikers so Ramon also may have a slight chance to jump into first team if injurie list goes out of hands or games schedule gets very intense. Of course Ramon, Luca, Jose and Lukulile have World Class potential in them. Kaue has less potential, but he is already close to the first team line up.

PALMEIRAS SQUAD PLAYERS

Astonmatu : Walter, Lucas, Felipe Menez and Xandao are transfer listed. They all played a big role in PALMEIRAS last season success, but now Im trying to make team younger and find future supertars. Its not going to be easy process, but Im giving it a go. Blending in is a big question and therefor I look at the personality of the player each time. I want to get 1 DC, 1 ST, 1 WBL and 1 good GK.
