I decided to take Control of Athletico Madrid - in an attempt to make them a European giant. All currency is in Euros.
My first act as manager was to shift through the squad, clearing all the dead wood. Through this Gerard got his contract terminated, Oueslati was sold to Bastia for 500k and Tiago was purchased by Benfica for 3.1 million.
I had money to play with now, and so the 1st signing of the Olivera era was Toby Alderweireld for 11.25 million. Due to my astute business I still had money to play with, (I love a free.)
I lined up like this.

Come January, my transfers had increased, with the signing of Poli for 9.75 million, and the pre contractual agreements of Ospina, Armero (instantly regretted this decision) Douglas, Indi and Viana (like Amero.) Diaz, who was still a significant player departed to Velaz for 1m.

Falcao was obviously a star, but I was surprised at how well Raul Garcia did. He showed some serious form.
