Attacking positioning on crosses

My striker has excellent heading but when my wingers put a cross into the box he is always hanging around just inside the box but i want him to be on the edge of the 6 yard box... how do i do this?

he is an advanced forward in a 442
my crosses are set to far post

Put crosses aiming to target man, and put him as target man,, run into the ball.
