uruguay are above england because they play easier teams in there qualifiers same for EGYPT 9TH

seriously, when you get to a major competition, then you can start judging us.

on the terms of who is in the squad, England deserve to be 6th. we just had a real **** competition, if you want to start getting political, didnt we beat Switzeland the other night away 3-1 who beat Spain who won the World Cup so in your little world, wouldn't that make us World Champions and 1st in the Fifa rankings?

although being Scottish, im not surprised by your anti-england arguements.
 
That was a one-off. You failed to beat the USA and Algeria, and struggled to a win over Slovenia and performed like Scotland against Germany.

And Cooper, Uruguay don't play easier teams! They play Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Paraguay, teams who got as far or further than England in the WC, compared to Montenegro, Wales and Switzerland for England.

I never said that at all. I'm simply saying that they play tougher teams on a more regular basis than England, and therefore qualification is tougher.
 
shut it with the arguing, you're all missing the vital point, its done with results over a 4 year period. so uruguary suddenly have a great world cup despite generally decent results, and england having a bad world cup despite generally very good results don't change the rankings massively

im hardly being racistist, you dont really have an argument with the things your saying. football is played over 90 minutes, not on who beat who. Switzeland beat Spain who won the World Cup, we beat Switzeland so by your logic, we would beat Spain yeah?
 
But the fact is that Uruguay constantly play better teams than England, and get better results, so surely getting wins over big South American sides is more comendable than beating Montenegro, and the like.

Ehh, no, you're just making this up. My whole point is England would not beat Spain, they had a poor World Cup while Uruguay had a very good one, exceeding all expectations while England fell short of all of theirs. Surely, FIFA, that must merit a higher ranking than England's.

No it isn't? I'm just explaining to you how Englands XI is better then USA, Uruguay and Mexico's.
 
Therefore continuing the supposed 'argument', which I felt was more of a discussion, but there you go.

I thought this was a discussion over whether or not England should be above Uruguay, Portugal, etc.

Germany had a better side in my opinion, as we all saw against Argentina afterwards. So I think, even after Lampard's goal, Germany had a better side and would've won.
 
there is a simple equation that they use to calcutlate the rankings, its on the uefa website. its not done by whim, or subjectively. its done on pure mathematics
