Back passes going straight off pitch

I've started to notice that my players regularly pass the ball off for a corner when trying to pass back to the keeper. I would say this happens at least twice a match, often more. Normally there is no pressure on the player and often it's from a wide position (edge of penalty area, near corner flag). Is this a known bug? Anyone else see this a lot?

This happens to me much more.
It is boring and made me nervous.
Or is it something wrong with my tactic.

I don't get how it can be a tactical problem as a manager doesn't need to tell a player to calmly pass it back to the keeper when they aren't under pressure, it should be common sense. I've seen it happen to my opponents as well, so it probably balances out eventually. Still unrealistic and annoying though.

Saw something about looking into this in the SI bug forums, I think. However this has been for a very long time. Specially infuriating in the version "I can't tap the ball 90º to my left but I can do a 180º with it to send it to a corner" from FM14.
