Ball playing defenders?

Hi all,

haven't got the beta yet for FM15 as I'm on holiday. But for my possession based tactic that I have in mind, is it possible to have centre backs that would at the same time play the ball out of defence with short passes, but also play long passes (not hoofs though) to wingers (switch the play/defence splitting through ball)
so I'm thinking kind of what Ashley Williams does for swansea. I tried to do this for FM14 but they never seemed to play "long passes"
so im just wondering are there new instructions/roles to do this?

If you have a defender with good passing ratings, all thats left is set him to Ball Playing Defender and if you want more defense splitting passes, turn on More Risky Passes
