Achievements

Al Wilson - had a debut to remember as he scored for Basel in their 1-1 draw with St. Gallen in the Swiss Super League.

Elzy Edwards - had a debut to remember as he scored for Schalke in their German Cup First Round match against Altona 93. He becomes the youngest ever goalscorer for Schalke aged 17 years and 32 days.

Transfer News

Jack Burbridge - Ekranas have accepted an offer from Metalurg Donetsk. They also accepted AS Monaco FC's offer. He is in contract talks with 4 teams but with Ajax, AC Milan, Cagliari, Fiorentina and Livorno also rumoured to be interested in him, he could end up anywhere. He agrees to sign for AS Monaco FC. He rejected offers from Fussballclub Red Bull Salzburg, AS Livorno Calcio, Metalurg Donetsk and BATE Borisov. AS Monaco FC paid 925k for his services.

Elzy Edwards - FC Santa Coloma have accepted an offer from OGC Nice. They also accepted Schalke's offer. Cagliari have just had there offer accepted as well. He agrees to sign a contract with Schalke and joins up with young Liectensteiner striker Pratik Sangle. He signs on a free transfer.

Jack Denzy - will be out for 3 weeks after suffering a twisted knee in training.

Other News

Hunter Hearst Helmsley - has found it hard to dismiss the rumours that Metalurg Donetsk are interested in signing him. He said he would be torn between his loyalth to Shirak and the chance of playing for a team like Metalurg Donetsk.

Ryan Brebner - put in a man of the match performance for Sheriff in the European Champions Cup Champions Second Qualifying Phase Second Leg victory against Shamrock Rovers. He scored twice in the 4-0 win.

Achievements

Al Wilson - put in a man of the match performance for Basel in their Swiss Super League match against FC Vaduz. He scored a hat-trick in their 4-0 victory.

Hunter Hearst Helmsley - put in a man of the match performance for Armenia u21s against Norway u21s in the European u21 Championship Qualifying Group match. He scored twice as they won 2-1.

Ryan Brebner - put in a man of the match performance for Sheriff against BATE in their meeting in the EURO Cup Playoff First Leg match. He got a hat-trick as Sheriff ran out 4-1 winners. In the second leg, he also picked up the man of the match award after setting up the Sheriff goal in the 1-1 draw that saw them advance to the next round.

Ryan Kimbrell - put in a man of the match performance for BATE against Vitebsk in the Belarus Highest League game. He finished the game with 2 goals to his name.

Transfer News

Hunter Hearst Helmsley - Shirak have accepted an offer from FC Kobenhavn in the region of 1M. Another 3 clubs have had their offers accepted by Shirak and several other are rumoured to be interested in him as well.
He has accepted the terms offered by FC Kobenhavn having rejected contracts from Fussballclub Red Bull Salzburg, Metalurg Donetsk, Fussballklub Austria Wien and BATE Borisov. The transfer fee was for an initial 850k. He was successful in obtaining a work permit to play in Denmark.

Ok I think that I'm going to change the layout of the updates.

I'm going to start to do 6 month updates, 1 January and 1 July.

Lewie Roberts - finished in joint 1st place for the Finnish Premier League Top Goalscorer award but did not win the award as it was handed to FC Lahti's Tuco as he had the least amount of playing time between the three tied at the top on 13 goals.

Ryan Kimbrell - was just beaten into second place for the award given to the Belarusian Player of the Year..

Euro Championship

The qualifying competition has ended and a few surprise countries have managed to qualify for the Finals for the 1st time ever. Top 2 teams qualify for the Finals with the top 6 best third place teams involved in a play-off for the final 3 places.

In Group A we had Ryan Kimbrell (Belarus) and Dangly McBalls (FYR Macedonia) attempting to get their countries to France.

In Group B we saw Elzy Edwards (Andorra), Hunter Hearst Helmsley (Armenia) and Al Wilson (Latvia).

Group C saw Ryan Brebner (Moldova), Dhillon Dylan (Montenegro) and Thomas Hornsletten (San Marino) battle it out.

Keiran Laing (Iceland) and Pratik Sangle (Liechtenstein) came head to head in Group D for qualifying for France.

In Group E it was Mitch Collins and his Faroe Is squad that tried to reach France.

Group F saw Jack Denzy (Georgia) and Alex John (Kazakhstan) try to qualify.

Lewie Roberts (Finland) and Aaron Lewis (Malta) met each other in Group G.

Albania's Reggao de Matteo and Lithuania's Jack Burbridge where stuck in Group H with each other.

In Group I we saw Matt Smith (Azerbaijan) and Freddy Josef (Estonia) attempt to score the goals to get their countries to the Finals.


And finally in Group J we had Andrew Motley (Cyprus) and Josh Steer (Luxembourg) battle it out.

So massive congratulations to Belarus, Montenegro and Estonia in qualifying for the finals of the European Championships for the first time ever.

Here is the table of all the third placed teams to see who finished in the top 6 to qualify for a place in the play-offs.

And the draw for the play-offs gave us these matches.

So good luck to Finland in their attempt to become the 4th side to reach the finals in France 2016.

The Finals kick off on June 11 with the holders Spain taking on Italy in a repeat of the 2012 European Championship Final.

Montenegro start their campaign against Portugal on the 12 June.

Estonia take on Sweden on the 14 June with Belarus playing Turkey in their first appearance at the finals.
 
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Estonia realise I'm there best hope up front, even while only playing for PSGs U-19 team
