Barcelona 2010 FM15 Tiki-Taka Tactic

[QUO TE=US MNT;2360091]Impressive. Good job. However, the passing stats aren't that impressive. Seem a bit normal. with a tiki taka tactic, they need to be very high. Doesn't seem like your team is doing the amount of passing that normal tiki taka's do. In FM14 a guy put up an amazing strikerless tiki taka tactic. It alone without any tweaks was phenominal. On bad days, possession would be 65-69% and on good days in would be in the 70's. He also had his tactic set at a very low tempo. The only tweak I made was setting it to a high tempo and the amount of passes more than doubled, and possession went up.

I do agree that this isn't the best plug 'n play type of tactic since you need high end players for this tactic to work. High passing rating is a must.[/QUOTE]

Have u tryed to recreate The fm14 tactic?

Where is that treasure ?

Yes I too would like to see this tactic USMNT!

Hi.
I've played this tactic for around 8 seasons now - and I thought I'd give some feedback. I am now, you know, where all my wonderkid-newgens are around 18-25 yo and world class, trained to their specific place in this specific tactic since they were 15 by the worlds best coaches in the best possible surroundings, tutored by the best a.s.o. - so yes, there is top quality all over the place.

You are right that the WBR is key. He will lead any division in distance covered/90 minutes. But he is difficult to find or "create" from youth. My best tip is to find a midfielder described as "tireless" and then train position. I've never had any luck making a good DR natural as WB, but several midfielders have been absolutely brilliant. In the first couple of seasons it was Arturo Vidal - worked like a charm. Some seasons after I sold him, he was still listed as primarily/natural WB (right). Also, if possible, the combination of right footed, curls ball and places shots (in a newgen) proved to be fantastic. Then he is not only key, but will score 10+ in a Premier League season. (That particular dude went on to become Golden Boy twice) - NB: Stamina is key. At least 17. Hence: tireless :)

I've only made one (major) change. I think 3 playmakers is one too many, especially since the striker is a False 9. This tactic does not have a real "number 9" and (in the first seasons) I often ended up having the ball all the time, getting 25-30 chances versus 5-10 BUT results like 1-1, 2-1, 1-2, 0-1 at random. Typically I would beat United and then lose to Burnley. So I decided to make your AMCR (Isco, in your case) to a Shadow Striker. Then it is a case of remembering that your false nine is and should be a number 10-type (F9, Defensive forward, deep-lying F, trequartista, engache, adv. playmaker) ON the ball and that the AMCR/Shadow Striker is a number 9-type (Poacher, advanced forward, shadow striker, attacking mid) OFF the ball.

This may (/will) require you to retrain the best and most advanced #9-types-poachers ("touted as the new Michael Owen") to be AMC (this will make them Shadow Strikers more or less automatically) and to think of and retrain new AMC 10-Totti-types (adv. playmakers, engache, trequartista) as STC, which'll make them False 9's (/trequartista /other types of on-the-ball-strikers)

That change really kicked ***. The False 9 is assist leader (and scores some as well) and the SS is top scorer. Meanwhile, the Inside Forwars still scores some (Depay was world player of the year...), the WB too, while the tiki-taka-cooperation between your Pogba/Coutinho/Isco is changed to Pogba/Coutinho/Sturridge and Isco is the scorer. (You'd want to sub Isco and Sturridge to your preferred numer 10's and 9's)

But hey, thanks! I had tons of fun with this. BTW: I don't have screenshots or anything. It's just feedback: Strong, tireless midfielders make better WB's than offensive DR's and the AMCR to an off-the-ball-runner (Shadow Striker, in my case) changes this tactic to the better. Oh, and that number 9 SS will benefit from "try to beat offside", "move into channels" and other OFF-the-ball related skills. No "runs with ball down left/right/middle" a.s.o.

My 5 cents. Cheers!

No, I'd have to start a new game, right? Mine is full of spanish guys named Osia :)

Is there a specific part of my post above that does not correspond to the updated game?

Well, the ME should still be 15.2.1 if you've updated. Don't need to start a new game for that.

Ok, I learned something new. thanks. I'm pretty sure I've done my best to NOT update and risk losing several RL-days worth of making Tottenham the place where youngsters (named Osia) from Barcelona want to be in order to realise their full potential and win trophies :)

I have low possession in my games, something like 55%-61%
Playing barca, 1st season

I created this tactic last year and it worked perfectly; won everything i could, had high amounts of possession, without minimal goals being let in, and this year it's the same so i thought it would share it with you guys.

I don't really have time to write a long paragraph about this tactic but i will try to explain the core of it.

My tactic is based on Barcelona in Pep's era, pushing high up the pitch to win the ball back as quick as possible, keeping the ball and not giving it away, with the midfield being key to success.

My formation is essentially a 4-1-1-3-1, and this is what is looks like.

When in possession my the RB will push high up the pitch acting as a winger and my defence will turn into a back 3, a quality RB is key to this tactic. Romero is the anchor man, stays in his position most of the time, wins the ball back and lays it off to other players. Pogba is my main man, the person who makes my team tick, the Xavi of Barcelona. My 3 midfielders are essentially Romero, Pogba and Coutinho, with Reus and Isco acting as more attacking players, and then of course Sturridge is my striker.

This tactic does work and only wont if you try it with a team not capable, you must have the right players, players with good technique, passing, dribbling etc, you know what I mean.

You will get around 60-70% possession, sometimes more. You team has to be used to the formation so i cant say that it will work straight away, like any tactic is will take time. Once you have the right players and your team has gelled you will see the results, solid defence, high pressure, one touch passes, high amount of goals, high possession, high passing stats, especially from the midfielders.

I am in 2016 in my save, and in the second season I won the league with only loosing 2 games.

Anyway, try it out of yourself and let me know what you think because this tactic has worked for me last year and has worked for me this year.
What leagues loaded for Mayke?
