am about to start a new game with barca. my main objectives are as follows:

1. dominate possession
2. have high passing percentage
3. keep clean sheets
4. score goals (not just 1-0 wins)
5. sign a new left winger who can cut in (similar to messi)
6. succeed in playing the beautiful game as it should be played

the tactic i wish to employ is the 4-1-2-2-1

-----------------------------Valdes-----------------------------------

Alves ---------- Pique --------- Puyol ----------- Adriano

-------------------------Mascherano--------------------------------

------------------Xavi-------------------Iniesta------------------------

Messi ------------------------------------------Pedro/New winger

-------------------------------Villa--------------------------------------

i need to know how to play this the right way, how to score the goals but also not let any in. also need to know to keep the ball and pass it about. just want to play the beautiful game as it should be played. im also unsure on what role to play the loan striker, thinking perhaps the complete forward?

please post your suggestions and help me dominate the game, thanks in advance fmtobes

Have a look at some of my screenshots here. It's a 4-2-3-1 so won't fit with Barca but have a look at some of the possession stats against big teams whilst producing good results also.

Get Bale as your left winger. Or if you're after a right footer, Dirk Kuyt ;)

Joking aside, Alexis Sanchez if you're after a righty.

And if it is Villa as your striker, play him as a poacher. Absolutely clinical.

Don't play Villa as a complete forward, don't sign Jonas 'what's a final ball' Gutierrez, sign Milan Jovanovic :)

Sign Eden Hazard for the left wing. Great inside forward.

Don't even sign anyone tbh
set Messi as your striker - deep lying forward
Villa as a left winger - inside forward and get these two to alternate
then still Pedro on the right wing as an advanced forward.

short, quick passing should get you halfway - you'll get the goals but the possession will be debatable...

i was thinking hed be a good complete forward apart form the lack of outstanding pace/accel and hes not too good at heading, may shove him as poacher but again the pace is a problem. and alex ive downloaded your tactic on a spurs game but didnt seem to play too well for me, gunna give it a go with arsenal in a few months when i get bored probably.
