To beat a 3-man defence you should play wider to stretch the opposition, and give wingers lots of space to work with, and get great crosses into the strikers. With clever marking and well placed defensive midfielders you can cut out the opposition attacks before they become a real threat. It is difficult to attack and defend effectively when playing a 3-5-2.

Hi, was intrigued by your post/tactic, but soon realised what you've said can't be correct. your wing backs can't play that role in a 3-5-2 without dropping them back which automatically changes the formation to 5-3-2, same with a DMC unless his position is CM?? that formation would change to a 5-1-2-2... any pics of your set up???.. am struggling with Leeds, dominating possession but can't score and always conceding
