he is good enough for premierleague at the moment so why take a step down.

City are cutting down his options by not allowing him to move to rivals. After Spurs, there isn't really anyone bar Fulham who have shown real interest in taking him in the EPL. If Hughes doesn't follow up his interest then the Championship or Celtic may be his only way out of Manchester.
 
Mancini is just a complete ****. City was a nice well run club a few years back, and these owners have came in and brought countless amount of players, and made countless ones un-happy. I know it's hard to keep morale high with so many top class players, but Bellamy deserves better than to be just shoved out of the club. He said in a news interview that Mancini didn't even contact him, he's only heard stuff through the press. If you want to sell a player, you wouldn't just have yourself in mind, you would also of thought they would care about where Bellamy goes, but they're ruling out him joining a 'rival' club. They wont even be near Spurs come the end of the season.
