Subject:Re-Design of Glen Hoddle Academy

Dear Lord Triesman

After our preliminary discussions on this subject,I have carefully prepared a final draft on how I would like to Re-Design the structure of my very own Glen Hoddle Academy currently based in Spain.

When I first opened Glen Hoddle Academy,I thought it will be a fanstastic opportunity for players who had their contract terminated from their club a chance to rediscover and put their career back on the right track.

After having a proper look at it,I found that very few players from our Academy actually got noticed by clubs and most of the time they ended up playing away their careers in the reserves etc.

Therefore,I have carefuuly prepared a total overhaul of the structure of the Academy which I think will definetly make it one of the top Academies in the World:

1.I would like to have Glen Hoddle Academy recognised as a club and be allowed to play in the 10th Tier of the English League System

2.I have decided to shift the clubs' primary focus to finding Talent at the grassroots level of World Football.

3.I belive that by giving my players constant match exposure by playing in a League,I will be able to further improve their skills.

4.I have decided to move the club to England as I believe that the better facilities in the country and more dearth of Youth Talent will aid my Academy's Rise.

5.I have also decided that I will be scouting and finidng unknown Youth Talent all over the World from the slums of Rio De Janerio to the centre of Japan and this will be achived through 25 scouts I have at my disposal.

I look forward to your favourable reply on my Requests as I belive they will benefit Football at Large

Best Regards
Glen Hoddle

I don't think Triesman is FA Chairman anymore but anyway nice op, looking forward to the rest of the story.

Glen Hoddle

So finally after weeks of work,Glen Hoddle Academy was finally an official club,I had received the official confirmation just yesterday and already people were saying we had enough quality to mount a strong Title Challenge on the 10th tier.

I decided to revier my current list of players:Luke Freeman,Jordan Holloway,Matthew Dempsey....a unknown but good bunch and I have faith that every one of them could make a proffesional career for themselves.

My laptop blinked, just received an e-mail from one of my scouts saying that a kid of age 19 by the name of Lucas O Neill is out for loan at Leicester City and he looks to be a great prospect.A video clip was attached and leaned in closer for a good look....

Isn't this pretty much what my story is, except slightly different?

I even had a kid emailed to me with video clips on it...

very good update, and also, are you limiting yourself to youngsters?

The main difference is,I am not limiting myself to Youngsters and I have decided to sart in a much lower league with no wonderkids

Nope, and I am not limting myself to England too

So how is this benefiting football around the globe? Don't mean to be piccy, I just don't really understand...

I put down the phone elated, that was another Transfer completed and I was delighted that Romane Rose from QPR was moving on a loan deal from the club.I so far had complted the signings of Luke O Neill,Mark Freeman and Jerahl Hughes a decent player who I had discovered on the England Trialist Day.

I was confident that my Team would gain promotion to the 9th Tier after these signings while my scouts were now concentarting on Asia to find Talent to add to my ever strong Squad.

I am trying to find undiscovered players from around the World such as Asia,Oceania etc.

Obviously if I find good ones I will have discovered some potential Top League Players Right....I hope to develop them on my own etc. and I am not looking for World-Beaters,I am looking for good decent players who can play in the Top League's

Great story, but what's the advantage on loaning players?
Keep it up mate

Tipton Sports Academy

After weeks of Speculation,It has been decided that Glen Hoddle Academy will play all their home matches this Season at the Tipton Sports Academy for which they will be said to pay 500 punds rent for every match hosted there.

I revied the results of the Pre-Season Friendlies and just shook my head in Disbelief.3 games,3 losses and one was aginst minnows April 24,I could take the 4-0 loss against Man City and the 1-0 loss against Cardiff but otherwise the Pre-Season was shambles.

I decided to review my Tatic again to see if there were any loopholes but even then I expected much better from this Squad and I already found myself wondering if he could grab the Title this Season.

July-August Update

I sipped my coffee and settled comfortably back into my deck-chair.It had been a fatastic month with 7 straight wins which had seen us rise quickly to the top of the League Table and qualify for the FA Cup 2nd Round.

Particually impressive was my 2 strikers Romone Rose and Lee Richardson who both had hit the net regularly and my defence had been superb conceding no goals at all in these matches.

This was the football I was looking for and I had high hopes that Lower-League clubs would start looking at my Academy to recruit players.

Glen Hoddle Academy vs Coventry City
FA Cup 2nd Round
I raised my arms in delight when I heard the shrill of the Referee's Whistle.'Yes!' I screamed,my boys had done what no ther club in the 10th Tier had ever done and that is they had qualified for the FA Cup 3rd Round.

It was a brilliant game from the lads and we played superbly to manage the narrow 1-0 win and set up a date with Romford in the next Round.

We managed to score the goal in Extra-Time and we set up the bus infront of the goal to withstand the heavy Coventry Barrage.I hugged each and every one of my players as they entered the Dressing-Room and I saw a bright fututre for every one of them.

September Update

I looked at the results again and concluded that this was another unbeaten month for me,although it was not as impressive as before.

3 draws in a row in the League had seen us momentarily drop to 2nd place but we were able to regain it with 2 wins and hence push AFC Liverpool our closest rivals back to 2nd Place.

We qualified for the FA Cup 4th Round with a superb 3-0 win over Romford where 16 year-old striker Lee Richardson scored a brace to help us there.

In transfer new,we loaned Leeds full-back Aidan White who many believed was one of the more promising full-backs around and frenchman Loick Pires who I found playing the French 3rd Tier Reserves.

I look forward to going further in the FA Cup while the League Trophy seems to a realistic Dream all the more.Romone Rose my promising striker went on to gain 3 caps for the USA under 20s and scored 1 goal so far while Jordan Holloway has been a regualr fixture in the England Under 20s as a Goalkeeper.

Come and sign me Glen Hoddle says Jonathan Page!

Mothwell's promising Centre-Back Jonathan Page has said he is extremely impressed by the way things were at Glen Hoddle Academy and says that he would love to go and play for Glen Hoddle and his Academy. He believes that he will learn a lot from a respected manager like Glen Hoddle who will make him a Better player than he is and help him play for a Major Club one day

There are rumours circulating around the press that Jonathan Page's move to Glen Hoddle is all but sealed although there has been no official confirmation. The signing of Jonathan Page will me a majour coup for Glen Hoddle Academy as they will have signed a extremely promising centre-back.

Neither party was avaliable till Press Time.

October Update

October was a fantastic month for everyone associated with the Academy as we made it 6 wins out of 6.Players like Luke Freeman,Barry Prescott and Michael Noone who usually did not get many chances stepped up this month and played a stellar role in the unbeaten month.

The Press have all but labelled us as the League Champs this year after our convincing 2-0 win over closest rivals AFC Liverpool but I am taking nothing lying down and I have warned the club the same too.

Romone Rose has continued to put up solid performances for the USA Under 20s although he still has not added to his internationa goal tally but I am happy that the manager of USA is putting faith in him.

Otherwise,we have a tie with Hemel Hempstead in the FA Cup 4th round to look forward too next month and I am confident of a large win.
