doesnt really seem to be working for me. having said that nothing is really "working" poor striker performances on every tactic ive tried, poor crossing, poor one on ones. tired of it constantly being like this on this game. ive no idea what else to do

Having tests with these sorts of team don't really tell the full story.
If you have the best players, almost every tactic works.

Should the feet of wingers be reversed?
Left-handed on the right side and right-handed on the left side? Or rather the opposite right-handed on the right and left-handed on the left?

Great tactic, but you receive so many bookings and cards, averaging around 5 to 6 cards per match which makes it unsustainable with a smaller team. And you can often be caught on the break by fast players due to the high line, making it a risky tactic without good players in defence.
